Location, room, view, shuttle service
Breakfast was nice but boring. Exactly the same combination every day for 7 days- no changes allowed.
Great location and facility, well equipped for a ski holiday, John & Helen were so helpful and friendly. We wish we had booked longer in Myoko!
Great location, close to the mountain and lots of great food nearby. Helen and John were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome.
Not only the location is really convenient, but also the shuttle service provided make it much easier to travel around in the area, which is the catch of skiing in Myoko. The hotel is well maintained and equipped, and also very clean. I also like the hotel never bing too busy and the friendly staff.
I like the Onsen, but it was a bit too hot and hair dryer was missing in the changing room.
It would also be good to have the bar open in the evening again.
Amazing location in Akakura Onsen, close to the entry point for the the ski lifts, in-house onsen, amazing service - with shuttles from the station and to different ski slopes.
The hosts are really friendly and hospitable. It is also great that there is no language issues as they speak impeccable English
Great location and facilities
The breakfast was ok.
Location is very good.
More choices / varieties of breakfast .
Close proximity to ski slopes, ski rental and restaurants. We booked a family room which is large for Japanese standards. The room was clean and tidy. Unusually it had 2 toilets, double vanity sink, a separate shower and a large bathtub. However the tiled shower and bath area is not heated.
The hotel provides a free transfer to nearby ski resorts including Ikenotaira and Suginohara which was awesome.
We paid just over USD1000 a night so we had certain expectations that were not met.
1) Whilst it is not uncommon for Japanese hotels to be shoe free, the hotel will normally provide fresh/new slippers for each guest. When I asked for new slippers, I was told there were none and to help myself to a bunch of used slippers sitting in the lobby area.
2) We are family of 4 and was provided with 4 bath towels, 1 hand towel and no face washers.
3) There was not even a box of tissues.
4) We were provided with 4 futons but there was only enough room in the sleeping area to open 3 futons (without blocking the passage to the bathroom/toilets).
5) We do not recommend the in-house onsen. It was too hot (44-45°C) in men’s onsen. The smell in the onsen is unpleasant. We have been to many onsens in Japan before but this one is unusually odiferous.
The ski storage is in the basement, we found it a challenge to navigate a flight of stairs every day in full ski gear carrying our skis with two kids in tow.
Everything was so easy. The iwner dies a great job
Nothing to be negitive about
Location on Main Street. Up to date rooms. Service at the hotel is great. Hotel guests are all lovely people. Mountain view of the rooms
First communication was a little slow
The location and staff were fabulous. The drying room was great. John and Helen were wonderful hosts and all the young staff were enthusiastic and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Beds were tight for two people. Quite noisy between rooms - could hear conversations. Would have been nice to have a towel change in 8 day stay.
Location was excellent 👌
Water boiler was broken for more than three days and we couldn't take hot showers. Took.cold showers and used the onsen... Not great.
Great central location and shuttle service.
Cafe wasn’t open unless you expressly booked with prior notice, we asked for a restaurant reservation to be made and it wasn’t, glassware was dirty in the room. But the biggest problem was no hot water for the 4 days of our stay with absolutely no offer of compensation (not even a drink or breakfast). When you pay nearly $5000 in peak snow season you expect more.
We were working long days and to be able to return home to the comfort of The Address was really brilliant The beds are so comfortable and the bath is so big. John is a fantastic host, and we always look forward to staying with him.

The location is unbeatable. The rooms are incredibly clean and spacious. The bathrooms are freshly renovated; they are functional and look really lovely. It was so nice to come home to the cool AC after some really hot days in the beautiful village of Myoko.
