Very friendly staff and lovely gardens made for a very pleasant stay. Brambles restaurant is top notch and well worth a visit.

Could hear other peoples rooms when the aircon went on and off which was really loud, could also hear toilet flushes as well.
Tried booking for a massage unfortunately spa closed at 5pm on a Saturday and therefore could not use the other facilities if booked privately like steam room.
A wonderfully peaceful and relaxing stay. The scenery and quiet surroundings make Vivari feel like a proper escape from Johannesburg, and we really enjoyed the Bali-inspired setting and atmosphere.
The rooms are stylish, exceptionally clean and fitted to a high standard. The bed was large and very comfortable with a quality mattress, and the bathroom was spotless. The room amenities were excellent — the espresso machine was a big win, the fridge stocked with drinks was much appreciated, and the rooibos and chamomile tea options were a nice touch.
The staff were very attentive throughout our stay and the service was excellent. In-room dining was also very good. We enjoyed the breakfast and restaurant, particularly the à la carte breakfast menu.
The private sauna and steam room facility was another highlight and added to the relaxing experience. Just remember to book your session in advance.
The hotel is also very close to Silverstar, which is convenient if you want to venture out or try some other nearby restaurants.
Overall, a beautiful, stylish and tranquil hotel with thoughtful amenities, attentive staff and very comfortable rooms.
Only minor suggestions. The buffet breakfast could offer a few more pescatarian options — smoked salmon, for example, would be a great addition.
A toaster or toast machine would also be useful so that guests can have toast hot and fresh rather than having it sit out.
That said, the à la carte breakfast menu is great, so these weren't major issues at all.
