Lovely, breakfast was lovely too
The birthday set up was nice, much appreciated
Our stay was very disappointing. We ended up sleeping in a cold room during winter because the air conditioning wasn't working. The only solution initially provided was a very small heater, which couldn't warm the room even after being left on for more than three hours.
When we raised the issue, we were told we could move to another room, but the staff also said it would be "a gamble" because there was no guarantee the heating in the next room would work either. It wasn't until around 10:30 p.m. that they finally suggested moving us to another room, describing it as "luxurious" which completely missed the point. By then, we had already returned from dinner, unpacked, showered, and settled in. If a room change was going to be the solution, it should have been arranged while we were out for dinner as requested before going for dinner, not late at night.
This was supposed to be a relaxing staycation, but instead it was an uncomfortable and frustrating experience. We could have stayed in the comfort of our own home instead of paying for what is advertised as a 5-star experience. Unfortunately, the service and handling of the situation fell far short of that standard.
The facilities were beautiful
The Spa experience was bad; we booked for 4 and only 2 were allowed inside while the 2 of us stayed of us waited atcthe reception; weather was bad and couldn't even be offered to wait at the snack station; other guests were given the loudest and widest smile; all offered was a single cup of Rooibos; it was bad and we had to leave before our turn

Everything, but mostly the breakfast. We were well-fed. Lots of options to choose from. The room was spacious, the live performance on Saturday night.

Beautiful gardens, feels like you are in a park not the city. Comfortable stay, very ease since we had a function on site. Function facilities at the river with nice viewa
Staff were very friendly and helpful but dis-organized. Waiter at the function not trained and we had to repeat our choice of meal several times and still they battle to get it done. Booked us into a room with our suite cases in a different room. Had to hunt down our luggage.
