Comfortable hotel with great value

Great location
Very comfortable bed
Clean room with all essentials

Great Communication with the staff and owner. They are welcoming and responsive. Swift check in with clear instruction on WiFi and parking - Free. TV had good channels. We arrived in heat wave, but the room was surprisingly not hot and stuffy. Will stay again.

Very nice stay for short stay nearby to Birmingham
Pros:

Pros:

The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was conveniently located close to downtown.

Cons:

There was no service on arrival, and no one was at the main desk. The doors were locked, so we had to call before someone finally came to let us in.

Parking was also a nightmare. They have very limited parking, and it was difficult to find a space.

Pros:

The town where the hotel is located is pleasant

Cons:

The Hotel is within a noisy neighbourhood, cars passing on the raod making noise. My room was too small, and had no air-conditioning

Good basic hotel at a good price.
Pros:

Pros:

Location is good, there is car park if you needed, but price for hotel is way to much.

It has dirty pillows and duvet covers, the covers are clean, but if you check inside it looks terrible

Friendly staff, close to everything you might need.
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room. Staff immediately fixed issue with heating being on during heatwave, even though I mentioned it late in the evening.

Great value for money.
Pros:

The prices; great value for money.
I was not there for the location but having a mini shop next door and a pub opposite was convenient.
The owner kindly let me check in an hour early which was appreciated.

Cons:

Not the most sound proof room I’ve had, a couple of banging doors and people having a conversation in the hallway. But you could get that anywhere.

Budget hotel
Pros:

The welcome I received on arrival was warm. The member of staff was very helpful.

I was in a double room on the top floor, which was very spacious. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was good. In general the room was clean.

There are a number of convenience stores and take aways within close proximity. Redditch town centre is less than a fifteen minute walk.

Despite some negative points I would consider staying here again.

Cons:

The shower leaks - the seal at the bottom of the door is incomplete and the floor was soaking wet after a shower. A bath mat was not provided, had I been staying for more than one night I would have asked for one. The shower tiles, grout etc need a deep clean.

Directly opposite the hotel is a pub which played very loud music. There were drunken people in the pub’s outdoor seating area who were very noisy. While I was there we were experiencing a heatwave so I had to have all the windows open as there is no air-con or fan in the room. It may not have been so bad if I could have closed them. Luckily I travel with ear plugs and the noise did not disturb my sleep.

The windows do not have curtains, only vertical blinds so there was a lot of light in the room from street lights and when the sun rose. Not a problem for some, but if your sleep is disturbed by light you may want to consider taking eyeshades.
