A beautifully clean room, great decor, very spacious and lovely staff

Room was a little tired just from wear and tear but was very nicely decorated, natural light, en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee in room. We had breakfast included and it was brilliant! The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub/ restaurant down stairs was really nice.

Room great all new , very clean .
Fab provided as old windows with double glazing and if on the A6 side guess for some they’d say too noisey .

The Strutt arms was a great experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is an Indian restaurant on site ,and also have other foods .
The standard double room was small ,but was very comfortable, it had a 37 inch television on the wall ,a portable fan,a comfy king-size bed and tea and coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits if you feel peckish, and a complimentary jug of ice cold water as well. Internet access very good in the accommodation. Bus stop right outside if you want to explore around the area. And some lovely scenic walks close by.
Also the breakfast in the morning was continental or full English,but the staff do cater for your needs , it was a very nice breakfast. All in all a fantastic stay at The Strutt arms.

Beautiful big pub and restaurant, very clean and lovely staff, They serve Indian food which is to die for. The rooms are very well equipped and they also do a happy hour which is a bonus.

The staff were so friendly and attentive throughout our stay. A lovely and welcoming hotel . Beautiful location. Modern fan in room -great for hot weather . Lovely shower.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs. Staff were very welcoming and willing to help. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't feel the need for housekeeping, but they were willing to replenish used items when asked. Breakfast and a dinner in the hotel were very nice. We had a lovely stay

Very pleased with size of room and bathroom

Lovely old building. Room was spacious. Breakfast was full English. Menu in bar was Indian food which was great.

Lovely weekend break. Nice breakfast and also ate there one evening, which was pretty good. Enjoyed a few drinks in the bar and also walked to 2 other local pubs. A shame you can’t walk alongside the river near to the hotel, so big loads to do. But was a good stay with friendly staff. Room could be slightly cleaner.

Very hot spell and towel rails were on high so bathroomss like saunas. Hot water is very hot and my room by the main road had superb soundproofing but the windows dont open so very warm. Food very good, staff very helpfull. Would I go back again, YES when it is cooler.

The staff were very friendly & accommodating, always happy to answer any queries. The food was delicious in the restaurant.
The only negative we had was the lack of bottled drinking water in the bedroom.
