Pros:

Right next to the main train station. All public transportation was just a short walk away, making it very easy to get around the city.
One thing I particularly appreciated was the excellent air conditioning, both in the room and throughout the hotel's public areas. During my stay, the weather was extremely hot, so having such efficient air conditioning made a significant difference to my comfort.

Good choice overall
Pros:

Good hotel, well located near the station and all transport into town, to the airport and beyond. Modern rooms, good beds but pillows were not comfortable. Good shower but nowhere to hang face towels. The male staff in the bar were rude and had a simply awful attitude, except for the one day that there was a young oriental lady who provided excellent service. Good breakfast selection, but very slow in serving 'made to order' eggs. It was hard to find a table when busy. Strange menu at dinner, but there were other restaurants nearby to go to.

Lage ist perfekt. Alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.
Ausstattung war sehr gut. Betten bequem. Das Bad sehr sauber!
Personal vom Empfang bis zur Abreise sehr nett und zuvorkommend.
Habe selten ein so tolles Frühstück gehabt. Tolle Atmosphäre im gesamten Hotel.
Basel Card gab es gratis dazu. Also alle Öffis kostenlos und bei Eintritten noch 25 % Ersparnis!

Sehr zentral, sauber und schickes Hotel
Pros:

Ich liebe das Mövenpick Hotel in Basel. Das ist mein 2. Mal hier im Hotel gewesen und ich bin wieder zufrieden. Die Einrichtung ist sehr modern und entspricht meinem persönlichen Geschmack. Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr sauber und die Aussicht in den obersten Stockwerken ist auch toll. Die Lage ist grandios nur 5 Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Ich reise nach Basel oft mit der Bahn an und durch die zentrale Lage spare ich mir viel Zeit. Aber selbst mit dem Auto ist es sehr entspannt und das Parkhaus ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, professionell und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt ist das 4 Sterne Hotel besser als manche andere 5 Sterne Hotels, wo ich übernachtet habe. Ich werde hier immer übernachten, wenn ich in Basel bin
