If you’re looking for a quiet time it’s best to not have a room booked close to reception and the restaurant. It was very noisy.

Pros:

Beautiful boutique hotel with incredible views of the lagoon. Spacious room with sliding door onto balcony. The food at the restaurant is great and service is friendly. Our favourite place to stay on the West Coast. There is nothing like it.

Worthy and did the trick. That was what we needed

I know the place is under construction, so the dust around took some points off your rating.

Nous sommes habitués de cet hôtel, et, comme à chaque séjour, nous passons des moments extraordinaires. Tout est pensé pour que l’on se sente bien : le personnel est vraiment adorable et les installations parfaites. Le restaurant demeure également l’un des grands atouts de l’établissement. Pros:

The view and location was beautiful. The restuarant staff was very friendly. Swimming pool was stunning. Breakfast was excellent, room was big enough and bed was cosy. Very nice.

Cons:

We were staying in the "new" building room 25. Had to walk ouside to main hotel. So glad it did not rain because we had to walk outside for our breakfast. The reception staff can be a bit friendly, they are not really helpful. The fridge in our unit was faulty and my daughter is a type 1 diabetic and need her insulin to stay cold, we had to move the fridge outside the cupboard to plug into a diffent plug and still had issues.

Nice stay with a couple of problems
Pros:

View from room. Bath in room. Friendly staff. Well situated to explore National Park .Breakfast very good.

Cons:

Evening noMeal was average. Ran out of mussels which had been recommended at start of meal. Conference group on site seemed to take preference over other booked guests. Got feeling was more a conference hotel

Disappointing
Pros:

The View was amazing and the room was clean.
The pool was the highlight except that the privacy hedge blocks the view from the pool and it's unnecessary considering in the time we were there, about five people walked past.
The waiter staff and cleaning staff were amazing.

Cons:

We stayed in the newly built section.
Upon arrival the staff were not really welcoming.
The room was not as advertised, we had a signature room, which I upgraded to, which was R1000 more, when we got to the room, the balcony as advertised was supposedly a standing balcony, but you could not even stand on it, it was basically part of the room, and it doesn't specify standing on the booking, so we could not make use of it.
When we went to query and ask to be moved to a different room, we were told that the hotel was fully booked, however, the room with a balcony right next to ours was vacant for the entire stay.
The internet is atrocious, I ran a test, being an IT guy and the speed was 1MB, and therefore streaming was almost impossible and buffered most times.
The bathrooms have no doors, so navigating the use of the toilet was interesting.
The privacy hedge at the pool blocks the view from the pool and it's unnecessary considering in the time we were there, about five people walked past.
Lots of potential but unfortunately, not worth the money spent.
As someone that has stayed at various places in the area and has always wanted to experience this hotel, I am extremely disappointed.
