This hotel is utterly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were amazed by the beautiful decor and extremely attentive, professional staff. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and explained things in perfect English, and she anticipated our need for a late departure and gave us a 4pm checkout time without us even asking (or expecting that option).
The room was incredible. We aren't frequent travelers, so maybe take this with a grain of salt, but it was the first room we've been in where we felt compelled to video a "tour" of the space upon arrival just to appreciate it later. We enjoyed having a fabulously decorated, comfortable space to spend time when we didn't have other plans.
We ordered room service quite a bit and loved all of the food. Some of the prices were a little high, as expected for room service, but we figured that we saved quite a bit compared to going to the buffet, which is really priced fairly steeply (I'm sure it's worth it if you're very hungry).
That being said, I would recommend doing whatever you need to do to get reservations at Eatanic Garden if at all possible. The front desk generously helped me make those arrangements ahead of time, and it was definitely worth the effort and expense to have such a high end dining experience on vacation.
I used the fitness center every day and appreciated the quality of the equipment and cleanliness of the space. It was never overly crowded, although we visited during the presumably slower winter season.
This is the type of hotel you want to book just to spend time at the property. We were well taken care of and strain to think of anything negative to say.
Other reviewers have mentioned the location being a downside, and I was almost put off from booking Josun Palace as a result. I'd have to say that for us, it was great. Some of our other options considered were in Myeong-dong, and in retrospect I think it could have been overwhelming to be based there on a trip, given how hectic that area is. I enjoyed the peace and calm of where we were in Gangnam. We found Ubers to be very easy to use and pretty cheap overall, so never really had a problem getting anywhere.
