Close to public transportation, clean, quiet, comfortable bed, friendly staff
Entry card system keeping everything secure, with multiple locked doors leading up to the room.
Tram stop next to the building made transit very easy and convenient.
The kitchen was fully equipped (except for pots/pans).
Reception is staffed 24/7.
Our 'quiet' room was directly in front of the tram and the bus garage, and it was facing East.
No AC in the room, so we had to listen to constant noise unless we wanted to sit in a 28-30 degrees temperature room with direct sunlight starting early morning.
Tap water is supposedly drinkable, but I dont recommend drinking it. Left a bottle of tap water overnight and it had a layer of brown rust settle at the bottom. Had to keep the taps open for a good while first time we arrived before any water came from it. Even then the water pressure was very weak.
The shower cabin had mold around the floor and the bed linen had stains in it...
The TV in the common room of our block did not work. Not a huge issue, but it would have been nice to have during the world cup.

Ist a good place to stay for a reasonable price.
There could be a bit more cutlery and cups in the kitchen. The corridor is a bit dark and echoes. But these are minor points.
The Highfield house is located right next to a tram stop that will take you to the city centre which was very convenient. The kitchen and laundry facilities were also very good.
This was advertised as a room with a double bed for 2 people however it was more like a king single, which was a bit squishy for 2 people to sleep in but would be good for a single person. The room was also incredibly hot and there was no way of changing the temperature except to open the window which would only open ajar, not allowing a lot of airflow. The bathroom also didn’t have a vent or any way of allowing the steam to escape which made things hotter in the room.
