Loved the venue and the staff ....and the location
BUT the Loft bed is really quite dangerous to manoeuvre around, my wife really struggled to get in and out...and she hurt her leg in the process...and the shower is a bit tired...but a really quirky room!
The whole structure was decorated beautifully. Max, our server and general Man Friday during the evening, was exceptional in every way. The lady who served our breakfast was good. We enjoyed dinner.
We were given the wrong room. When I pointed this out, I was told that I couldn't have chosen the room if I booked on Booking.com. This was very disappointing as we had deliberately chosen the Suite which has a sofa in the room and a bathtub in the bathroom which we prefer. Instead I had to have a bath in the main room which wasn't very enjoyable. We had to spend some time in the room and wanted the sofa for this reason. I didn't enjoy the attitude of this gentleman either. He seemed reluctant to help me with my suitcase up the stairs. It's a small thing but a shame given all the effort to make this a quality establishment. Lastly, the room was far too hot and changing the thermostat didn't lower the temperature. Opening the window was not an option due to the noisy road outside.

The waiting staff were excellent very friendly and helpful.
The bedroom. Small bed. We booked a room with an extra large bed. Nowhere to put clothes away had to live out of a suitcase for 4 days.

We had the loft apartment which was cute but extremely tight for space, couldn't walk around the bed, had to climb across to get out and nowhere to put clothes etc. We were only there for one night so no great issue though.

Nice comfy rooms with excellent food. Ideal location for walking the river and visiting the Magna Carta. There was also a great DJ on the Friday night that we enjoyed with a good friendly local crowd

Good service from professional staff. The restaurant (including menu) was better than I expected and I enjoyed my dinner. The location was convenient for the M25 and we were able to park in the hotel's car park. I had a good night's sleep and don't recall there being any road noise disturbance.
Our bedroom was missing clothes hangers (the only two hangers were being used for the bathrobes, so I had to un-hang those to hang up my clothes, even though I wasn't going to use the bathrobe). The bathroom: frosted glass wall to bedroom (not for everyone/all couples); plug in basin not working.
Visited several times and as usual everything was spot on great room ,great evening meal and wonder full breakfast .The staff are very attentive but at the same time easy going .
