This was our third visit to the Superior Stay Hotel, and every visit was consistently great. The hotel is clean and well-kept, and has a tasty breakfast buffet. The location is virtually across the street from the Northern Michigan University campus, which is our reason to make the trip. I highly recommend this hotel as a "home away from home"!

We've stayed twice at Superior Stay Hotel (2024 and 2026) and will always go back when we visit Marquette! It's small and located in a quiet area at the end of 3rd Street with walkable access to the Yooper Dome, NMU campus and book store (highly recommend visiting the book store!), restaurants like Casa Calabria and Vango's plus ice cream and coffee shops. You have quick/easy driving access to Presque Isle and the bustling downtown and lower harbor. It's unlike staying at a giant, loud Days Inn or Holiday Inn - all customized service provided by the staff is excellent (we needed a top floor and an extra blanket plus they provide soft baked cookies and granola bars to guests, for example) and the morning breakfast is outstanding - even includes blueberry scones and other bakery treats! We most definitely recommend Superior Stay Hotel for your next trip to the Marquette area!

Front desk staff was super helpful, the room was clean and comfy! Also got a discount for being a NMU alumni! 10/10 would recommend and will stay again!

So, prime vacation time and we had a basketball camp at NMU so worried about price, but...it's a tiny hotel and all brand new flooring, etc. Staff bent overbackwards to accommodate us!

Rooms are always clean and quiet with comfortable beds. Located next to NMU with Lake Superior within a few blocks. Many choices are offered for breakfast with pastries make locally. Always a great place to stay when visiting Marquette.

Near campus & walking distance to dining/drinks

We learned of Superior Stay Hotel online; the reviews sounded promising, so we booked two nights. Well, what a pleasant surprise. The front-desk team members were kind and helpful, the whole facility was super clean, the central location was ideal for our needs, the complimentary breakfast was just right to start the day, and the coffee / tea / hot cocoa station in the lobby was a nice "extra." We truly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended Superior Stay to friends.

Cleanliness and good breakfast

Breakfast is always good. Options include scrambled eggs and excellent oatmeal.

Totally love this hotel. From the FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGABLE staff to the VERY clean, comfy, and well stocked rooms. ( I am picky about clean and well stocked😊) They touch base with you through email, never leave you wondering if your room will be ready to go when you get there(yes, have had that happen 🙃)have QR codes and links of sites and attractions to visit and the staff also have info on the "things to see and do" in Marquette. I usually do not travel solo and it was to take my state board exam for nursing, I felt so relaxed, secure, and 💯 an awesome experience, Marquette and the those who live here are great! Lots of hiking, trails, ect., many families out enjoying the beautiful area. From observation only, there are endless possibilities for casual and fine dining, or grabbing a drink😊
