Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Room Conditions
I had a very frustrating experience with both the hotel’s service and room conditions.
1. Poor Front Desk Responsiveness
After checking out, I realized I had left behind my extended MacBook cable and charger. I called the front desk that evening, but the night shift representative put me on hold for 15 minutes without returning.
I called a second time and was again placed on hold for another 20 minutes while they supposedly checked the logbook and Lost & Found, but no one ever came back on the line.
On my third call, I was told a note would be left for housekeeping and that I should call back the next morning. When I did, I was simply told nothing had been reported and the case was closed.
This process was extremely inefficient and a complete waste of time. There was no follow-up, accountability, or real effort to assist.
2. Poor Room Air Quality
In addition, the room’s air quality was very poor. Although I don’t typically have allergies, I woke up the first night with an itchy throat, runny nose, and sneezing. The symptoms were bad enough to wake me up in the middle of the night.
I had to turn off the air conditioning to feel better, which made the room uncomfortably stuffy. As a result, I did not get a good night’s sleep and had to purchase allergy medication the next day.
Overall
Between the lack of customer service and the uncomfortable room conditions, this stay did not meet basic expectations. I hope the hotel improves both staff responsiveness and room maintenance moving forward.
Breakfast was great, plenty of choices. Facility was clean and quiet, very comfortable. Location was close to where I needed to be the next morning.

I went to stay for Black Friday weekend, Stephanie was rude to me before I could even pull in and check into my room. She told me we could not check in early even though my check in time was 9:15am, she had a condescending voice when talking to me, and when I got to the front to check in, she told the lady at the front desk to not let me check in right away. I understand that they were busy but I didn’t see the issue with checking in and waiting to be called when I room got available. She was being so rude and giving attitude to me for just answering her question when she asked me if I am a person who would be staying since they blocked off the entrance due to parking. I also think she’s a manger because of her name tag. Even walking back into the building, you’re supposed to say hi to all guests but she looked at me with a rude, side eyed face. She needs an attitude adjustment. The rest of the staff were great and friendly besides her.
We arrived early. One room was ready. The second room was ready very soon.

Room was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Ample and convenient parking. Very quiet. Close to shopping and dining. Great breakfast options. Easy freeway access. Welcome gift of water and snack a plus.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn in Livermore! The hotel was incredibly clean from top to bottom, and the front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. In fact, every staff member I interacted with was great they went above and beyond to make me feel at home, and their friendliness created such a warm, home like atmosphere.
The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with excellent amenities that made my stay even more enjoyable. From the moment I arrived until checkout, everything exceeded my expectations.
I can’t wait to stay here again highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
