Overall, despite a few cleanliness issues, we had a great stay and really enjoyed the experience.
Pros:

The view outside the window is spectacular. It’s my favorite part of this place. The staff are all very friendly.

Cons:

The room’s cleanliness needs improvement. At first glance, it looked clean, but the floors clearly hadn’t been properly mopped—there was hair in several places. I ended up buying cleaning supplies and mopping the floor twice myself.

Also, the quality of the toiletries, including the body wash and toilet paper, was far below what I would expect from a hotel that charges around $1,000 per night. The room could also use an air freshener. It had an unpleasant smell when we first walked in.

Weekend getaway
Pros:

Really enjoyed our stay at Zane Grey Pueblo. The views overlooking the bay are hard to beat, and being up on the hill gives the property a unique feel.

The breakfast was surprisingly good with made-to-order omelets and French toasts.

The pool was clean, the property was well kept, and everyone we interacted with was friendly.

The highlight for us was the service. We weren’t ready to meet the shuttle driver at the pier, and instead of having us go to him, he went out of his way to drop our luggage off at the restaurant where we were having lunch.

Shout out to Kevin for going above and beyond! Would happily stay here again on our next trip to Catalina.

Lovely night with great accommodations.
Pros:

Property was lovely. The historic site is built on the hill, with incredible views of the bay and downtown Avalon.

Cons:

It is set outside of town, so if you don’t want to walk up and down the hill, it can be a pain- but there is a golf cart that can pick you up and drop you off by request. The property was a bit sleepy during our weeknight.

Nice and convenient with the golf cart shuttle. Spacious room!

Cons:

I was told two different things about late check out option. Staff should get on the same page about that. At check in the lady said it may be available for an additional 30 minutes at no charge. Then the day of check out when I asked about getting a 30 minute later check out and was told my card would be charged half the price for another nights stay! Needless to say I didn’t do a late check out.

Very nice accommodation with free breakfast option before being shuttled to town in the staff operated golf cart. Picked
Pros:

Historic property above the town noise. Great views and close to Chime tower. Golf carts picked us up from ferry and then when checking out delivered our luggage to ferry drop off so we could explore more without carrying our luggage.

Cons:

Price variability was dramatic after our stay because of it being Memorial Day. We purposely stayed on the nights before the weekend to save money. Price doubled for the two nights after check out.

Pros:

I did like how quiet and romantic it was. Very secluded, and away from the noisy downtown. The views were breathtaking. Breakfast was wonderful and the rental for the all day golf cart on point!

Cons:

The only thing was the vending machines only to cash. But not a big deal.

Great Stay with Friendly Staff and Perfect Location
Pros:

We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the front desk to the shuttle drivers. The location was perfect, peaceful but still very close to everything with the shuttle. Our room was spacious, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Chef Daniel also made an amazing omelette :)

Cons:

The only downside was the room view. We booked a king suite with ocean view and expected a bit more, especially since units above us seemed to have better views and patios with chairs.

Quite nice, could level up significantly with some attention.
Pros:

Nice to be away from the crowds. Beautiful little patio with shade and comfy couches to relax. Room was spacious. Linens were of good quality. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast was underwhelming, the eggs were cold and the oatmeal had nothing to add to it, ie nuts, raisins, etc. Bedroom had several repair issues such as drill holes in wall, broken TP holder, windows nailed shut so we couldn't take advantage of the lovely breeze.

Overall, the property was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. We will be back to the island and we will stay with Zan
Pros:

The property was nestled on the hill overlooking a wonderful view of the water. Very quiet and peaceful.

Cons:

Everything was wonderful with the property. Our first night we didn’t sleep well. The tenants above us were arguing and making noise until around 3am. We found out the next morning that multiple people complained about them, yet nothing was done to resolve the issue.
