Short stay at Park Hotel
Pros:

That it was 10 minutes from the railway and bus stations.

Cons:

When I arrived I was told by Reception staff that they were very busy and might not be able to change my towels. I thought this very odd as I have paid for a service. Then Saturday night my room was not made up cups not cleaned or new towels or bed made. I did make a complaint that night. Next morning a member of staff asked if everything was ok and I explained. The lady said they had no cleaners and were very busy. I said to her that I paid for a service and expect it. I really dont want to hear that they had no staff. I just found it very unprofessional, I felt sorry for the woman but its up to management to see to these areas and not tell the client of their short falls.

Pros:

Very close to city centre. Easy to get to and has parking. Clean.

Cons:

I had breakfast included. I went downstairs for breakfast but I couldn't find any member of staff to guide me. I called a phone numbers, nobody picked up. I left to eat in town. I have been contacted later and been told they had to go urgently to another hotel... I didn't have breakfast next day either. I went straight to town. The room was very lovely and clean, but very hot. The heating was still on. I turned it on but for some reason after a while would start working again.... I slept with AC on...
Otherwise, no problem and would probably stay there again.

Excellent stay, as usual
Pros:

Regularly stay here and always very positive. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms decent size and clean. Breakfast good choice. Short walk to Stephens centre.

Fantastic apartment for a family get-away.
Pros:

The space was fantastic for a family. We all had our own rooms, there were enough bathroom facilities, there was space to relax, space to dine and a kitchen with everything we needed. The whole place was modern, clean, tidy and convenient. We will definitely visit again next time we need to stay in Hull.

Cons:

The car park was full when we arrived so we parked elsewhere.

A well located hotel with well furnished rooms doing a good breakfast
Pros:

Breakfast was good. The fried breakfast was cooked to order, and there was a choice of fruit, cereals, juice, croissants, toast, yoghurt etc.

My room was a good size, well furnished and in a quiet part of the hotel where I did not hear the passing traffic. The en-suite was fine too, so all-in-all my room was very good.

The hotel is about a seven-minute walk through St. Stephens shopping centre into the city centre, and about ten minutes from Victoria Square.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and while I did not encounter any problems during my stay, were on hand to deal with any queries.

Cons:

I always find it irritating when you have to pay for parking even if you are staying at the hotel - effectively that added £8.20 a day to my room price.

Cons:

The bed was not fixed and kept sliding sideways. Also little dampness where the fireplace was.

You get what you pay for
Pros:

When we arrived the reception was closed and we were redirected to the bar, the person who checked us in was efficient and friendly but was stressed out about how many guests were booked in and said that if we wanted a full English we would have to come down early as they are likely to run out. Not what I wanted to hear and as a result I didn't bother to come down but my husband said the restaurant was empty.

Cons:

The actual building is a little creepy and institution like, I didn't stand on the bathmat as it looked filthy.
