Jekyll Island is beautiful, just be careful where you stay.

The beach was of course beautiful, and the pool area was very nice

Cons:

The room was small, no balcony, no microwave or comfortable place to sit. Could not turn down the heat or open a window. We felt like we were living in an office cubicle for 4 days. The absolute worst part was the smoke alarm over our bed flashed a bright light all night long. When we complained they said nothing could be done about it but they will send an engineer up to look in the morning. He or she never showed up. For the price of this hotel I would say stay away. The breakfast was what you would get complimentary at most other hotels and cost 11$ a day.

Pros:

Everything was absolutely beautiful and clean! I love that the beach is just a short walk from the lobby and pool. Everyone was always friendly and accommodating, the food smelled fantastic, and we truly enjoyed the lively atmosphere.

We left our heart in Jekyll. Can’t wait to return. From the padilla fam

The location absolutely stunning, the complementary bikes. The open windows when you were enjoying a drink or appetizer for the kids. The lobby was spacious with tvs, games, large chairs and tables. They thought of everything! Starbucks coffee saved my life a few times . I think you had to pay for coffee up front. I don’t think it was complementary but the Starbucks was affordable . The coffee steamed for my son’s hot chocolate packet could be gettin at the bucks. The ladies and all our servers were delightful. The complementary shuttle was so handy. The lawn games by pool was such a nice touch. Let’s just say I was not ready to leave.

Cons:

I was sad the pool was not heated. But this would never stop me from coming again. The jacuzzi was lovely and hot. Make sure you’re on the right side . We did not get a complementary breakfast even though we’re Marriott members. It’s literally the same place. But tortuga jacks had the best pancakes and breakfast we ever had. So crisis averted, no biggie.

Pros:

Location is right on the beach and close to golf.

Cons:

Breakfast set up is different. Hotel is half Residence Inn, so there breakfast is included. Marriot does not have that option but is same hotel.
