A great base location to explore the Broads and further afield. We will stay again.
Pros:

Our 2nd stay. Great welcome, fabulous food. A lovely place to stay where your dog is just as welcome.

We rise but refuse to shine
Pros:

Brfeakfast was fine, Room was basically fine .

Cons:

No proper curtains at the window meant we were wideawake at 5.00am so big minus for that. Room a bit too cluttered , we love a Travelodge

Very dark room decor, poor lighting , no wardrobe, no chest of drawers, one hanger, Luke warm water in bathroom handle on toilet flush not working properly, heated towel rail not working , breakfast very poor quality , dining area cold

Lovely old fashioned hotel, great staff and great food. Very reasonably priced.
Pros:

An old building and everything higgadilly piggadilly! We knew this so not unexpected. Room 6 had a lovely modern walk in shower, whilst room 5 had a bath. Bedrooms relatively small but furniture drawers were very large so could get a lot in. Lovely to not be in a modern clinical chain.
Just on Sutton Staithe so could watch water birds. 7 minutes from wildlife sites at Hickling,and 15 mins from Horsey Gap to look at seals.

Cons:

Stairs very steep. We are in our 80s, and could just manage, but not for the really disabled.

Pros:

Lovely location, clean room, polite staff.
1 staff member went out of her way to apologise to me when a bar regular was rude to me.

Cons:

Room was cold
No ice for my drink the whole duration of my visit.
Outside area at back needs tidying up

So much potential wasted!
Pros:

A lovely setting on the river.
Good chicken tikka meal.

Cons:

Cold room with only a small fan heater to try and get it warm.
Very drab and tired looking.
Luke warm shower.

Adequate with price reflecting rather down-trodden feeling.
Pros:

Excellent breakfast! However the whole building is in urgent need of upgrading - especially flooring and tables. Bedroom was clean and tidy - good self-service tea for example. Posssibly as expected for the price although we don't think our wives would have liked to stay there!! Car park good although the usual pot-holes experienced. Black building extensions visible from car park ugly and not welcoming, also grass-cutting would enhance impression on arrival.
