Very conveniently placed, near the main road but I wasn't aware of any traffic noise. Staff were friendly and thr breakfast was good. Large bedroom with a very large comfortable double bed.
The shower hot tap was stuck at a level that only provided luke warm water
Position
Booked 3 nights booking.com breakfast included when we arrived booked were told breakfast wasn’t included so I paid £8.95 each for a breakfast that was awful all items apart from the egg had been sitting around for hours !!! So the other 2 mornings we found a better breakfast just up the road. Room was good extra heating was good. No room service lots of noise from room be low our room on the Friday Saturday
Staff were friendly, was wonderfully clean, good evening pub style meal.
There were a few blown bulbs in our room and though provided a portable fan heater was generally cold in room
Very good all round
Shower in room 3 needs attention
Simple and traditional building was well kept and well maintained.
Car park was a bit uneven but cant complain
Excellent breakfast.Well.cooked and presented.
Room was shabby and cold.Shoes didn't work properly.Property not very clean and a bit shsbby.
Dinner on Saturday night, and two breakfasts excellent.
Lovely bedroom.
Nice ensuite - but see below.
Being made to feel uncomfortable in the breakfast room from the very instant at 10am.
No-one offered to help with my suitcase in spite of severe mobility issues.
Both sets of stairs are very challenging.
No grab-handles near WC or in shower enclosure; no non-slip mat or surface in shower.
Shower water too hot, and adjusting mixer bar made no difference.
location good -
they were unprepared for me, rooms had been flooded, I was not notified until I arrived, the room I was eventually allocated was cold, heating not on, dirty, TV switch too high up I had to stand on a chair (I'm 78), no staff around, nowhere to eat in the evening.
Lovely staff. Good food which was always piping hot. Large bed.
The decor but it is being renovated. The bathroom was not overly warm. Heating came on morning and evening and then if we asked for it during the day
The staff and the place was all really good everyone was friendly. The food was excellent and was really good value for money.
Wasn't anything we didn't like. Only thing was that I had to ask for the heating to be turned on 3 times as it was cold and had been snowing heavily. But the stay was good and if I'm in that part of the country again I will stay there
breakfast was lovely and good value , staff were very friendly ,evening meal was also delicious , cannot fault this accomadation , i had read in other reviews that the rooms were cold, but this was not an issue for us , it was cold but a heater was provided
there was no blind on the bathroom window
Location, staff, room
Size of the room
No heating from radiators , pub restaurant shut. Not that clean on skirting boards and shower, shower could be hotter.
