You can find somewhere just as cheap but much more comfortable. Wouldn't recommend.
Pros:

Location is decent enough, although we only stayed one night en route to Bukit Lawang. It is pretty cheap, although not the cheapest but Indonesian standards.

Cons:

It was quite disappointing. We weren't expecting luxury for the price, but even for this much we were surprised that the sink wasn't plumbed, there were only two squat toilets with no toilet roll, holes in the bedding, etc. Staff were pretty unresponsive when we arrived. Lamp in the room didn't work and was covered in dust, looked like it hadn't been touched in months. On our way back through Medan we stayed somewhere else for the same price and it was all perfectly good quality, so DnD is definitely below standard even for the price.
