The Sun Rose West Hollywood

We’re returning to The Sun Rose West Hollywood again this year for a holiday celebration, and while planning our stay we had an amazing experience working with Adrienne from the concierge team. She was incredibly thoughtful from the start and really took the time to understand what we were looking for.

Adrienne helped us book the private screening room, coordinate activities, and made great suggestions that truly tailored the experience to our celebration. Her responsiveness and attention to detail made planning easy and enjoyable — truly exceptional service. We can’t wait to return!

Hotel was clean and spacious, good gym facility and staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming. Special shout out to Adrienne Miley who was so lovely and made us feel very welcomed. The staff dealt with issues very promptly and satisfactorily. The restaurant and spa was great, highly recommend trying those out while you’re staying there.

No detail is left to chance at the Sun Rose. Down to the velvety cushions in every chair, to the art deco styling, to the seasonal touches, to the in-room robes you will long to take home, every little thing is on purpose and well designed for beauty and comfort alike. The food is like poetry: each dish has layers of experiences and textures to keep you enthralled (yes, food can really be this good). Our favorite part of all was the people we met. D. Lo took excellent care of our car, helped us newbies every step of the way, and even held my phone just for me when I accidentally left it behind! His warmth and good humor were an excellent start to a perfect stay. Doug at the front desk told us all we needed to know, with style and infectious enthusiasm. He gave us insider tips right away so we would have an even better experience. We also adored the heated saltwater pool on the roof, “basement” bowling, city views over dinner, and world class spa. You will not regret choosing to stay here!! Bring cash for tips, as this staff earns them a thousand times over!

A cool & beautiful hotel. The room, was lovely & the shower-wow! The biggest hotel shower I've ever been in. It was great. Doug at the front desk & the glass of prosecco offered at check in made me love this hotel even more.

Had an amazing two-week stay and am sad to be leaving—especially since my daughter is staying on for another two weeks and I’m very envious! The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and the rooftop pool is fantastic with plenty of comfy loungers. The staff were always friendly and helpful, with a special thanks to Adrienne for going above and beyond. After staying in hotels all over the world, this is one of the best. I’ll definitely be returning next May. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

After the Pendry rebrand in August 2025, the newly named Sun Rose West Hollywood remains a good mid-luxury choice, sandwiched between the Mondrian and Sunset Tower and facing the Andaz West Hollywood..

Rooms from 32 sqm/345 sqft have full length windows, blue and gold decor, nods to 1930s Art Deco and light spacious bathrooms and separate WC. Well sound-proofed, comfortable beds, decent amenities and abundant complimentary water.

Wolfgang Puck's rooftop restaurant serves good food with super LA views - especially at night. Bar staff are super and Keana in the restaurant is exceptional.

Concierge Adrienne is another treasure, proactive and practical. She adds class. Housekeeping is excptional. Thank you for working round my timings. Pressing my shirt for free was much appreciated.

Ospero serves decent breakfasts but needs to rethink the hotel guest experience. Ospero doesn't yet know what it is...bar, pizzeria, coffee shop? At breakfast hotel guests have to walk right through it to order at the street counter.

Amazing hotel and even more amazing staff! Big shoutout to Adrienne the Concierge and Arturo and George in the Security department! I left my bag in the hotel room and only realised it when I arrived at the airport. The staff there immediately leapt into action and delivered my bag from the hotel to my hands at the airport!

While I was in Paris, I asked The Sun Rose Hotel in Los Angeles to arrange for a cake to be delivered to my friend’s room along with a small note. Adrienne handled the request with professionalism, efficiency and genuine care, turning my idea into a wonderfully memorable surprise. I truly appreciate her availability and dedication — it made a big difference.

Gorgeous big suite-style room and excellent service from the staff made all the difference (special thanks to Adrienne, the lobby concierge and also Chuck from Textus ... airport transfer in style!). Cocktails at the bar were some of the best, as was dinner at the rooftop restaurant where the staff were equally excellent. This was our first Amex Fine Resorts and Hotels experience, and based on the hotel staff service level and hotel set up, we'll absolutely be back!!

We loved this hotel so much. It was extremely central while still being quiet and with comfortable beds. Service was excellent throughout our stay. The concierge made our stay extra memorable sending prosecco to our room to celebrate our wedding. Raven in the valet was also amazing. He went above and beyond to help out. Our rental car window was broken outside of Republique and Raven cleaned all of the glass out of the backseat for me so I wouldn't get cut driving to get a replacement car. The hotel was extremely helpful. This is definitely the hotel to stay in if visiting west hollywood or beverly hills. We would love to stay here again. The rooftop area is also fabulous!

The service was impeccable! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions, including giving tips on local venues and restaurants.

We needed a place to stay in West Hollywood and found the Sun Rose to be a very good choice. It's not uber luxury but it is comfortable. The rooms were decent sized and while somewhat dated, they were very clean. Service was excellent at the front desk and we found the valet and bell team to be responsive. The restaurant was ok but there are many nearby options. The location is excellent.
