Pros:

We paid for a lakefront view. They put us in a room with a parking lot view. I asked the receptionist and she said that they didn’t have any room with lakefront view for that night but they could change our room for the next two nights. I felt very disappointed because I paid for a lakefront view for three nights.

Very disappointing and damaging to a hotel reputation that I normally like.
Pros:

Wasn't given a chance to stay the lady at the front desk was only concerned about watching TV and not being helpful at all. You brand of hotel is one i would normally always go to over others, but after this experience not a chance. A great way to restore my respect and willingness to stay at your hotels again would be to please give us a refund for the night in question. My number is 5172959343

The lady at the front desk was rude and not helpful and was more concerned about watching TV than helping us. We attempted to check in at least 5 seperate times during our chosen check in window, and we were told every time we did not have a reservation (despite her telling us details about our reservation that she wouldn't know unless she could see it). She did not attempt to offer any solutions to the problem. Not sure if she was lying about our reservation, or if it didn't go through, if using booking.com dropped the ball, or the lady at the front desk couldn't be bothered to do her job i don't know. I usually love this brand of hotel and we really could have use a good night sleep that night and were turned away. So if you feel like contacting me my number is 5172959343. Thank you.

Nice property. Clean and on the water.
Pros:

Clean average sized rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice linens. On the bay which was nice. Very nice helpful staff especially the breakfast lady.

Cons:

Breakfast was not great. And it’s a large property so the woman in charge was a bit overwhelmed when I was there. There’s no pool of any kind. And swimming in Lake Superior is way too cold. Days when Pictured Rock boat tours could not go out due to rough seas it would have been nice to use a pool.

Bathroom was huge. Liked having a magnifying mirror. The provided toiletries were nice. Location was perfect! Close to downtown and pictured rocks cruise.
