Large rooms with boutique feel. Would cost $1k in Tribeca or Greenwich Village. Well managed. Our favorite place when visiting our daughter at Creighton.
We had a mixed experience at Hotel Indigo. On the plus side, the reception staff were incredibly helpful and personable, making us feel welcome from the start. Always a cheerful hello and smile. The rooms were very spacious, beautifully styled & comfortable featuring a particularly large bathroom and a great shower. The location is excellent—well within walking distance to the Old Market, the river area ans restaurants —and the hotel’s shuttle service was a convenient bonus.
However, there were some minor drawbacks. We experienced persistent air conditioning troubles during our stay, and the hotel can become quite noisy when there is an event being held in the building. Most frustratingly, the hotel was unable to print a check-out invoice upon departure, advised one would be emailed. Sadly they have failed to respond to multiple follow-up emails regarding this.
Verdict: Good for comfort and location, but the after-stay service and maintenance need improvement.
Big room and bathroom was nice. Cable tv channels was better than most. Bed was very comfortable. Close to restaurants and other things downtown.
The fridge was more for looks than storing anything. No pool or hot tub.
This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit my daughter at Creighton. It’s a cool boutique hotel with a great location, charm and ambiance. The service is great!
The perfect place to stay, especially if one is visiting Creighton!
My daughter and I had a one night stay at this lovely hotel and wish that we could have stayed longer. My daughter was touring the Creighton Dental school and were fortunate to have stayed here because the hotel is within walking distance to the school (approx. 10-15 minutes), or, you can also request the complementary shuttle service that will bring you anywhere within a few (3 or 5?) mile radius. No need to rent a car!!
Several days before we arrived we received a text from Mya requesting our flight information and how to contact the driver once we arrived in Omaha. Thank you Mya for all of the correspondence!! We were greeted by the driver who promptly picked us up from the airport and brought us to the hotel. We were then warmly greeted by a few staff members (Mya and the team were all so friendly and professional). We were able to check into the hotel room early which was an added bonus since we had a busy day ahead of us.
The courtesy car also drove us around the area to view a few different apartments during the day which was wonderful not having to worry about parking/navigating downtown and being able to focus on our apartment search for my daughter.
The room was quiet (large bathroom with shower-soap/shampoo/conditioner was provided) which was nice to have a quiet place to unwind after a long day.
My daughter tried the breakfast burrito in the hotel's restaurant and really enjoyed it! I wish I could have tried the breakfast or had the chance to have dinner there but will have to on our next visit!
At the end of our stay we were driven back to the airport by the hotel's courtesy car. The driver even stopped by a restaurant to pick up a carry out order for us on the way to the airport! !! Thank you again!!
The next part is where this hotel really shines.... Upon checking out, I inadvertently left a jacket behind in the hotel room. We were notified as I was boarding the airplane and thanks to Mya's quick correspondence, we had arranged for Hotel Indigo to ship the jacket back to us! Thank you Mya and (Sarah?) and the wonderful team who sent the jacket back to me!
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Omaha!
The staff was wonderful. Location was good. Love the lady at the bar. She was wonderful. The lady at night at the front was so helpful and took great care of us. The drivers where wonderful. They'll be the only reason I would ever stay again.
We had no air conditioning or heater. They had to get us a fan cause how stuffy it felt in the room. The refrigerator had hair in it. The bed was broken and the bed was dirty under it coke bottles under it. Price was not worth it. No parking.
I was very pleased with my stay at the Indigo Hotel in downtown Omaha! I have no prior experience with this brand but after a week in this newly renovated facility, I can honestly say I will definitely make it one of my top options for future trips. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished. Daily housekeeping. The shower was superb. Staff very nice and helpful. Zero noise problems. Easy to access from the interstate and a reasonable walk to downtown restaurants. All of this for a fair price. A real gem for anyone planning a visit to Omaha.
Called to ask staff a question and was put on hold for several minutes. Called back twice and no one answered.
The building and room were very nice.
The parking sucks. The staff was great except one woman working in the early afternoon that was quite nasty. We stood waiting for about 3 minutes before she even acknowledged us then told us to hold on and proceeded to keep doing something on the computer for another few minutes. We tried to ask about early check in and without asking our names or anything she says there are lots of late checkouts today in a rude tone and said no early check in. We tried to ask about parking and she immediately said it was full and said something about street parking. If you work in hospitality at least try to pretend you like people.
The food at the bar was decent and most staff were nice at least. The shuttle driver was a sweetheart.
The room had no working heater so I was given 2 space heaters that would have been a fire hazard to leave on all night, and it was -7 outside. The bathtub was a death trap. It hadn't been washed apparently and I couldn't get out very easily, being I am disabled. I injured myself trying to get out. They switched my room after that, but the night desk girl was rude as could be the whole time. There was no hand soap or lotion in the bathroom. I got hives from whatever was making t he tub so slippery. The sheets were so scratchy as well. The room they switched me to have expo a ed sheetrock or something next to the toilet and the telephone didn't work either. They woke me up becsuse they didn't put my pre-approved late checkout on my account, but I had a email approving my request. They gave me enough points to stay one night again, but never going here, again. I never made it to breakfast because I was up almost all night dealing with everything that went wrong. I was very disappointed to say the least. I will be calling corporate due to my injuries in that bathtub.
