Fantastic Hotel
Pros:

All was very good , Checkin was fast easy professional courtesy and knowledgeable.

Cons:

Not being able to adjust the temperature in the room it stayed at 71 . I am use to a much cooler living quarters, but maintenance did come up and adjust and it was a little cooler .

Pros:

The hotel common area was clean and also our room. The bed was comfortable and the location was ideal for getting around town.

IRIE at front desk was super friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with her.

Other staff members were also very helpful in providing information about getting around.the area.

Cons:

Breakfast finishes too early at 9.30 a.m which was way too early especially when you are on vacation. Should be about 10.30 a.m

Pros:

The room was great, but the staff was exceptional. Everyone and i do mean everyone that I encountered was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with and made me feel like I have been there time and time again!! I will definitely recommend and look forward to the next time I stay with Hyatt!

Cons:

The forced valet parking for $60 per night. That seemed excessive.

Pros:

I had an incredibly long day working in the medical field and decided to stay at the Hyatt Place Downtown Tampa rather than make the approximately one-hour drive home because I had another demanding day ahead of me. The entire reason I paid for a hotel room was to get some much-needed sleep.

Unfortunately, I got almost none.

There is a large, extremely bright white light only a few feet from the bed. Throughout the night, the light repeatedly TURNED ON. I personally got up four separate times to turn it back off, and my husband got up twice.

When I went downstairs to speak with the front desk, two employees told me they were aware that the light was motion detecting. What remains unclear to me is whether they actually understood my complaint. The problem was not that the light was failing to come on. The problem was that this extremely bright light was repeatedly TURNING ON throughout the night while we were trying to sleep.

What was even more disappointing was the response from customer service. There seemed to be very little concern about the fact that I had spent the night being repeatedly awakened. The only remedy offered to me was Hyatt points.

Frankly, that felt like a smack in the face, particularly after the employees acknowledged that they were already aware of the situation with the light. Points do not replace a night of sleep.

I live approximately an hour away. Had I known that staying at this hotel would mean getting virtually no sleep, I would have driven home instead.

A hotel room has one fundamental purpose: to provide guests with a place to sleep. Not only did I pay for a room and not get the rest I specifically stayed there to get, but because I work in the medical field and had another demanding workday ahead of me, the lack of sleep potentially affected my ability to safely perform my job.

The light itself was frustrating. The apparent lack of concern from customer service, despite being aware of the issue, was even more disappointing. Th

Pros:

Sebastian from front desk was exceptional and very helpful. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was really good interms of the taste. The housing keeping and kitchen staff were great.👍🏾
