Liked everything about it
I love how the decor and everything preserve the hotel's history. We had so much fun checking out the news clippings and old pictures. There is also a large patio that we wish we had had more time to enjoy!
Unique and special. Great place to stay.
The owner is very nice. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Main St. Pizza also has good food and ice cream, next-door to the hotel. I would recommend it to anyone. It is very nice and clean. If I have any business in Hobbs or Lubbock, I will definitely drive an hour to stay at The Hotel Texan instead of staying at any other hotel.

The place is an absolute dump. TV didn’t work correctly, and the hotel “staff” had no idea how to fix it. The bed sheet should have been converted to rags years ago. Most of the time when I was moving through the property, there was no staff present. Weird, and will never stay there again.

A West Texas gem. We drove an hour out of our way to stay here, and it was well worth it! A unique and charming experience, with the kindest staff. An unforgettable little place in the vast expanse of West Texas.
This is an old building with wooden floors that screech at every step. Small too not many outlets. When arrived water was off for about hour and a half. Definitely not luxurious. Weed like smell at check in desk. Overall ok for an overnight stay. Not your typical hotel..

Very cozy, historic hotel! I loved my room, it was very comfortable and homey, both the bed and couch were very nice. I really enjoyed talking with Gareth who checked me in as well, he was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and the history of the hotel, and just fun to chat with. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in this area, and also for anyone who is interested in historical places.

A truly charming old hotel with nice enough beds and other modern upgrades. Highly recommended for value and history. Great family patio with games. My room 201 had an ocean sailing theme...in West Texas. Loved it.
The staff was friendly, the hotel is clean, they have a 24 self-serve kitchen at no additional cost. Great pizza place right next door. My room was neat and homey. Bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable. I will definitely be back.
