The door staff don't get the doors for you they are there to patrol the entry for the homeless.
Blood stained sheet and mattress.
Bathroom door did not close all the way.

The hotel is nicely renovated, the common areas as well as the rooms attractive and comfortable.
The staff are excellent. They are friendly and helpful.
The location is mixed. There is easy access either walking or public transportation to all the sites. There were quite a few excellent restaurants in walking distance.
There is a large unhoused population all around the property. We were never bothered by anybody and the hotel is very secure. One just needs to know that the overall area is down and out.
Lastly, the hotel does not currently have their restaurant open. They provide morning coffee and have a bar open in the evening.
While there weee many good nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner, the only place for breakfast Nextdoor appeared to be a greasy spoon and not appealing.

It seems to me that some people are reviewing the city more than the actual hotel. The hotel is clean and thoughtfully appointed - couldn’t meet a nicer staff.

Across from a homeless shelter. No parking available only an expensive valet service. Terrible room noise cancellation. Unresponsive temperature controls. Bed was thin and uncomfortable. Cannot adjust shower head angle.
Hip and cool - not many amenities. In an area with some homeless. Forgot to clean our room every day for 3 days.
