There was no breakfast but they had a small store inside that had snacks and candy. Came in handy for a late night sweet tooth.
Would have appreciated light housekeeping to get trash picked up. We were there for 3 nights and didn't have any housekeeping come by.
There was no breakfast offered but the concession was affordable.
The whole place smelled really strong like febreeze mixed with mold. The room was not at all what i expected. Old mold/mildew in the shower. The shower didn’t have trim on the bottom so the water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor and would take 3-4 towels to mop it up.
Gave away my room,manager promised me points never recieved,will not stay at that candlewood again ended up at la Quinnta where I never have a problem

The location was pretty good for food, stores,and getting to the places I needed to go.
There were ROACHES in the room we stayed in.
All of their rooms have a kitchen and full size fridge. Their beds were comfortable and clean.

Our room was not available when we arrived. They gave it to someone else. Smelled like smoke in lobby and first floor. Musky smell in stair well.
Elevators did not work, we were on 4th floor.

I have been a IHG member for quite some time. I travel to Austin area for work. I have always been able to check in early with no issues (1:30pm earliest I will try to check in). I understand they need time for people to check out and clean the rooms). Arrive at Candelwood Suites in Schertz at 145pm. Asked to check in. I was told by Gabby I couldnt check in till 3pm or I could pay an early check in fee....lol. Just curious, I asked if they had rooms available to check into right now....wait...wait.."Yes we do". In my book, this is horrible service. All the hotels, I stay at will check you in if they have rooms available. Time to stay at competitors hotels. Dont need you IHG. As an owner, my company will take its business somewhere else.
The property was nice and clean. The staff was great….very friendly and helpful. I just didn’t like the location off the highway, but other than that my stay was excellent.
