The room was very small - much smaller than announced on the room description. For breakfast there was no choice and the quality was not good at all.
Heerlijke bedden, heel schoon, prachtige kamer.
Het ontbijt was zeer sober, ik eet geen varkensvlees, dat is lastig in dit hotel. Beter buiten de deur ontbijt kopen. Ook is het personeel zeer ingetogen.
The location of the hotel was good, it was certainly walkable to the main areas of Kyoto within 15-20 mins.
We were on the second floor and the room was small (as were the majority of rooms in Japan) but the window was frosted and dark so the blind was down, I found it to be very claustrophobic as there was no natural light due to being surrounded by other buildings.
Also, it seemed that either the toilet had leaked at some point or someone had weed on the floor as the plastic flooring in the bathroom was all stained and it absolutely stank of wee.
The staff weren't as friendly or helpful as we found staff at other hotels - out of the 6 locations we stayed at these were the worst.

Location is well served of public transport.
Room was generally comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was disappointing. We didn’t find the boxes offered tasty and they took long to be served. We tried to get a refund of the breakfast for the remaining trip after the first day and it was denied. On the third day we didn’t even ask for the box anymore (although we paid for it) and we noticed we were not the only ones.
Also the breakfast area is in the reception and becomes very loud and hectic as people come to check out.
