great location, very comfortable and spacious, friendly staff
Pros:

the location was great- we walked everywhere. The city view, the big windows and spaciousness of the room is wonderful ....and having a kitchen too.

Cons:

It would be so easy to make the design of the room so much better by adding some color and warmth. Just add a colorful pillow and blanket to the bed. The blue chair is great but the whole rest of the room is grey, black and white.

Great location for Detroit Marathon Runners
Pros:

My wife and I stayed here for the Detroit Free Press Marathon, and the location was right on point. The 9 mile mark was right outside of the hotel. We had a studio on the 9th floor which wasn't bad. The only problem we had with the room was there was a plate that wasn't fully clean, but everything else was fine. To note, the shower is very, very small. There isn't much room to move around in it.

After reading the reviews of about Sonder I had some mixed feelings before staying. Upon arrival it is just as people have said outside, there are a lot of homeless people around the area. There is a parking lot across the street with in and out privileges which was good. One thing that we did notice is that there weren't many restaurant choices close but we made do.

Overall, it was a good stay for the price and we will likely stay there again.
