Lovely stay here. Will be back great service
Pros:

Great clean hotel. The cleaners did a wonderful job everyday. The facilities in the room were great especially the shower. Hotel is well run friendly helpful staff. Big thank you to Jerry who helped me and my family from NZ. Even hotel GM greeted us in evaluator.

Cons:

Only negative is the fridge didn’t really work all food and drinks did not stay cold.

作为五星级酒店有点失望
Pros:

浴缸和浴室水流不错

Cons:

明确说不要烟味的房间 结果到店给了一个整间屋子弥漫着浓郁烟味的房间 跟前台反应 前台一个男服务员不解决问题也就算了 竟然推销起来了 让加钱升级房间。如此贪得无厌。不敢想象这是一个五星级酒店的服务。拒绝加钱之后回房间呆了一会儿嗓子就哑了 上呼吸道开始发炎。实在受不了晚上又去前台反应，这次前台是个小姑娘，给解决换房间了。第二天投诉了那个男服务员 前台经理替他道歉了。但我嗓子已经沙哑没好。这是第一件扫兴的事。
第二件扫兴的事是酒店有两个游泳池 室外的关了不开 室内的小的还不如桑拿室大。给我气笑了。
总体来说不值这个价也不值五星级标准。

Could have been better.
Pros:

I like that the room is extremely comfortable.
Staff at reception and club lounge very friendly.

Cons:

Rooms very comfortable, unfortunately, the blinds in the room did not work even after telling housekeeping.
Also, not worth paying for the club lounge. They are not open in the morning for breakfast, not even for coffee.
Was given a voucher for welcome drinks at the bar upstairs, was told ok for alcohol, however, the staff upstairs says only non-alcoholic beverages. The 2 department should communicate.

Good experience for my 1st stay in Sofitel, hotel staffs is professional and room is clean.
Pros:

Breakfast spread is great. But I hope a better security to provide non hotel to just walk in freely.

Cons:

The operating hours for the bistro and bar on level 36 should extend further.

Pros:

This is the newest hotel in Haikou and opened during the pandemic period. Had high expectations as I last visited in 2018 and this was still building and I stay at nearby Hilton Haikou.

A few issues we had which is why we gave 3-star rating:
1. The hotel’s main lobby and breakfast at all day dining area was located at 35th and 34th floor respectively but the rooms are located at lower levels… very odd planning
2. The corridor way from lift lobby to rooms are designed using dark colors… makes it feel narrow and not so welcoming as we walked to our room.
3. Was on 24th floor also and some hotel guests smoking in their rooms even though it’s a non-smoking hotel and these inconsiderate guests left they room doors open allowing cigarette smoke to flow into corridor way.
4. I saw a couple of times housekeeping team passed by and nothing was done over the course of my 3D2N stay… therefore the 4-star ratings on staff service
5. While the hotel is only 3 years old and factoring the pandemic, condition of property pales in comparison to Hilton Haikou which we went over for dinner on 1 of the night during our stay.

The next time we visit Haikou, unlikely we will stay at this hotel again… I have severe allergies issue and the cigarette smell given it’s central air conditioning gave me quite a bit of issue during my stay.
