2025 October. HAZARDOUS BREATHING CONDITIONS. Black mold in the heating and air conditioning unit. Mold and mildew in the carpet.
This alone is enough not to stay here.
I need to log onto the internet but when I tried to log on it would say accessing but never connect.
The wiring was definitely up to code.
The bathroom, it was impossible to close the door unless you got into the tub, it was so small. That can’t be up to code.
The first floor hallway smell of mold and mildew as well.
I had to find other accommodations on the island and they didn’t provide any refund.
The photos are deceptively. There is no view of the water only a parking lot and busy noisy street. The location on Tripadvisor is incorrect too. They claimed led the post office for its location. It’s farther up beach street. Not near the water.
The part of town is really slummy. And the outer doors don’t lock. The staff leave at 4:00pm and no answers the phone after that if you have an issue.
I recommend that you don’t stay here!
Room was filthy. Bath tub was gross. Electrical outlets missing covers. Asked to be moved to another room and the second room was just as bad. Ended up having to eat the expense, front desk said regardless of the issues they don’t issue refunds. Moved to the mansion house and had to pay for both places. Unacceptable.
Very old and small rooms
No front desk between 9pm and 9am
Spiders on the room
No luggage cuatody service
Extremely expensive - $500 a night and not even breakfast
Only good think is location
Not that bad
Quiet home like feel close to ferry in Vin Haven
friendly & helpful
staff, clean room except for old carpet, everything worked well, parking convenient, location convenient, room was very small
L’emplacement et la cuisine accessible aux voyageurs
Les bbq ne fonctionnent pas correctement
Very noisy air conditioner and made for poor sleeping conditions.
Pros: Great location, plentiful parking, clean beds/bathrooms and kitchens, helpful staff, windows open in rooms. Shared kitchen is useful if planning to cook.
Cons: Property is older and carelessly renovated; minor repairs are needed, lacking decor, carpet is dated.
Like a motel but very well located. You pay for the location.
5 stars
Parking was excellent.
Trying to phone "the owner" was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Bedroom had 2 twin beds, despite asking "the owner", when he finally answered the phone, to change it to a queen and possibly a twin.
The room was MUCH TOO SMALL! And did not even have a chair or couch to sit on.
The bulb at the entrance of the room was blown and never replaced.
The hot water in the bathroom sink did not even flow, so we were left with ONLY COLD water.
As we were departing we noticed other opened rooms with the type of facilities we were expecting. It's too bad that "the owner" did not act on our request.
I enjoyed my stay. I enjoyed the inn style of the hotel and I’d stay here again.
From the moment I booked, the service was exceptional! Manager Dammar Jackson resolved my booking issue (caused by a second party) with warmth and efficiency, Shawna Hudson worked magic to secure extra nights during a sold-out period, and Majorie Edwards offered kindness and encouragement every step of the way—just an incredible staff. The hotel’s amenities are excellent, and its central location—within walking distance to the ferry, grocery store, downtown VH, and more—makes it perfect for any traveler. Harbor Landing spoiled me. I felt right at home-no more house rentals for me.
Staff was friendly and helpful during my stay. Soecfically truly appreciate the front desk called me when I didn’t arrive
The room was clean and the hotel near the main street.
No one was at the desk when we arrived, and although I had gotten a call, it didn't tell me what room we were in. I had to call a national number to get it. No one cleaned the room after our first night. The bathroom was tiny, and the shower leaked onto the floor. The hotel needs fixing.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable. The location is great. I will definitely stay again.
The staff at Harbor Landing Resort was friendly and helpful. The location was amazing! It is very close to the ferry as well as bike rental, shops and restaurants.
Quiet room. Convenient location. Great staff. Outdated facility.
