Sojourn Apartment Hotel - Riddiford

The location was perfect as we were staying for a hospital stay. The hospital stay was postponed and the staff were so helpful, with offering a credit or refund for the extras days i had booked. This took so much stress away. Our room was clean, and comfy :)

Needed a last minute place to stay near the hospital so the location couldn’t be better. Felt very safe staying on my own and staff were so lovely. Apartment exceeded my expectations and had everything you’d need to self cater, was spotless and had a very comfy bed. Supermarket just down the road and loads of cafes to choose from near by. Parking as well which was a bonus.

I chose the Sojourn Apartment Hotel because it was opposite Wellington Hospital and I needed to fly to Wellington urgently to visit a very sick sister. Nothing could have been handier – all I had to do was go out the door, cross the street and climb the steps to the hospital.

The staff member on the reception desk was helpful and friendly, welcoming me to my first stay at the Sojourn, showing me to my room and explaining the security arrangements. Later, when I needed to use the microwave and couldn’t figure it out (it was very different from my one at home), the same helpful young woman came up and showed me.

I needed to extend my booking, and it was all done with calmness and efficiency. I was so grateful for the help because I was feeling emotional at the time and kindness was exactly what I needed.

My room was small but immaculately clean, and the facilities were excellent. It was only after I had prepared my meal that I realised there was nowhere but the bed to sit on to eat it, but I quickly got used to that.

For anyone needing proximity to the hospital and friendly, efficient service, I would recommend they book themselves in to the Sojourn. There is a range of apartment sizes, something to meet everyone’s needs.

Perfect location, welcoming receptionist, the room was perfect, everything we needed for a one night stay. Very clean, comfortable bed, and warm. Nice big shower with good quality body wash etc. Happy with the price. Would recommend

All things were good accept for the high level of ambient light getting into the room.

The worst culprit was the window above the head of the bed, and to a lesser extent the north facing window.

I had a look out the window and the excess level of lighting seem to be coming from a couple of security luminaires.

I respectfully suggest that you solve this issue. I suggest that either the window sashes be fitted with “Black Out” blinds – or /and or change the lamps in the security luminaire to ones with about 25% of the wattage of the existing lamps.

Very very clean, with everything you needed, lovely to have a couple of chocolates on arrival.
Big bathroom but small handbasin and no where to put your toiletries.
Great location if near the hospital.

I stay here regularly for work and I’m always happy with my experience. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very professional.

I flew into Wellington having already experienced two time zones so was weary and hoping I'd made a good choice of accommodation. I was met with warmth, care, interest and found my room to be perfect. Once settled and I'd enjoyed a coffee, the staff checked in to ensure everything was okay. This quality of care is too seldom experienced these days - it was wonderful from start to finish. Thank you.

Was clean, tidy and conveniently close to the hospital

I was initially nervous about booking a motel in Central Wellington as they often look old and neglected. However, we needed accommodation close to the hospital so I booked Sojourn. We were welcomed warmly. The room was the cleanest I've ever seen. It was compact but so well planned. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. A convector oven was a nice touch. Very warm and very quiet. We were literally across the road from the hospital and a 5-10 minute walk to loads of restaurants where we ate in the evening. We have another hospital appointment next week and I have just rebooked Sojourn.

Living an hour's drive North of Wellington I chose the Sojourn Hotel as it is situated directly opposite the Wellington Hospital and I had an appointment there at 7.30 am the following morning. It proved to be a very rewarding choice. Staff excellent, location excellent, room excellent, cost excellent I could not ask for better.
On departure I had no hesitation in making a further booking to cover a further Hospital visit in 10 day's time.

I stayed at the Riddiford st. The location was perfect for me as it was very accessible to the hospital adjacent as it suited my needs at this time.
I could not fault the cleanliness, comfort and friendliness of staff, they were efficient and extremely kind. They did everything possible to make my stay comfortable and easy.
The after after hours entrance was safe and easy to access.
I would not hesitate to recommend Sojourn Riddiford for your stay in Wellington.
