ibis Timisoara City Center

It is well placed for public transport. Good if you are on a budget, too. Breakfast is nice, the room is clean. Personnel is friendly but don't expect too much.

The SPA is only in the afternoons, but expect even less.

It's a typical Ibis Hotel. Nothing special about it.

But the real scandal is the breakfast. It's the first hotel of an international chain I stayed where breakfast during weekend is served from 8:00 am only.

How lazy is staff or management in that hotel? They don't want to wake up early in the morning?

At 8:00 am there was a queue of people (see my pic) across the lobby waiting. I checked, people waited more than 30 minutes just to get inside the breakfast area. This is rude and just the opposite of hospitality.

This is totally unacceptable and definitely also not conform to Accor standards. Furthermore, it's a scandal because on their website there isn't any information about breakfast being served from 8 am only during weekends.

For sure, people paid for breakfast but didn't have breakfast in the end because they had other plans than waiting until 8:00 am in the morning and then waiting another 30 minutes in a queue for getting inside the breakfast area.

There isn’t much directly around the hotel, but there is a restaurant on site, and the old town with lots of dining options is just a 5-10 minute walk away. The bed was relatively firm, but still comfortable

We enjoyed the stay and the breakfast. However, there was a dog barking after midnight and some noisy trains. The hotel is new and clean, centrally located. We’ll book again next time.

We spent 2 nights at Ibis Timișoara City Center in August 2025, as a family, and had a really pleasant experience! The hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from the historical and cultural heart of Timișoara, making it ideal for exploring the city on foot.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and modern, and the overall vibe of the hotel is fresh, relaxed, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile.

Breakfast was excellent – tasty, varied, and fresh every morning. We also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which pleasantly surprised us with its delicious food and great service.

This hotel is perfect for both leisure travelers and business guests. It strikes a great balance between comfort, location, and quality of service.

Great property close to everything

We had a nice overnight stay in this hotel. Good location, but a bit difficult to find the parking entrance, it is just from the tram line. We had a warm welcome and really friendly staff.
Good breakfast, with standard choice, with some local/regional products. Thanks to the good windows and beds/bedding we had a nice sleep.

Very new Ibis Hotel with modern and clean rooms, not as cramped as usual Ibis Hotels.
There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel, offering good food and drinks at fair prices.
There's plenty of room to sit and relax in the lobby area as well.
Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Location is good, surrounded by some supermarkets, the city center and with that a lot of restaurants, bars and cafés in walkable distance.
The main station Timisoara Nord is nearby as well, there's plenty of parking available.

It’s a big hotel, so it was busy. Long line at the breakfast buffet. Not a good hotel if you don’t have a car, no restaurants nearby, so it’s a long cold walk in winter . The kitchen was closed. The rooms are small, with limited hanging space, ok for one person

Soms vergat men de kamer schoon te maken zoals het hoort. we hebben 3 keer moeten klagen. Daarna is het wel goed gegaan. Verder het personeel zeer vriendelijk en bij elke klacht werden we gecompenseerd met een drankje.

The nicest Ibis I’ve ever stayed in.

Excellent stay, in the middle of the city, walking distance to everything in Timisoara.
We were travelling with our 2 kids and the entire team made everything possible to make our stay great.
Great managed hotel, you can see the attention to details of the Staff.

We needed to have parking, good breakfast and to be near old town. Ans so it was. All perfect!
