Reno Tournament of Champions stay
Pros:

Resort fee excessive for 2star quality. Non smoking room, however rooms around did not abide, no enforcement. Staff was 50/50 with attitude, willingness to help.

Pros:

The room itself was pleasant and efficient with more space in the bathroom than some hotels give. The problems with the building itself were a general lack of upkeep. There were stains on the carpets in the elevators, my floor’s hallway, and in the room itself. Also, several of the elevator buttons either didn’t light up when pushed or were completely broken/missing. The main issue was that despite being a non-smoking building, I had two nights where there was a smell of cigarette and/or pot smoke in the bathroom. Thankfully I could close the door and it didn’t get into the bedroom area that much. But the next morning it was a powerfully potent ashtray smell to deal with and I had to ask for air fresheners from the front desk to even be able to stand in the bathroom (I’m also allergic to cigarette smoke). So while the staff is wonderful and accommodating, the facility itself leaves a lot to be desired.

Kinda like coming over to Grandma's house. Dated but nice. Front desk phenomenal! Parking 1.5 block walk, not bad. Can't beat Friday night rates.

Will use again.

Instant Regrets!
Pros:

Hard to find, no breakfast, parking is across the street and tons of homeless people and their feces outside the entrance, the elevator is missing a ton of buttons and the list continues.

Nice nostalgic piece of Reno history
Pros:

The old Harrah's Casino Suites were in a nice location downtown. Having to park in Cal Neva is not the best solution but it was free and fortunately a short walk back to the hotel. Security on staff made us feel safe. Room was a little dusty, we bought an air purifier because of the dust bunnies. If you catch some Reno baseball games or coming in via Amtrak for an overnight the location is prime. Great price and did not feel like a run down motel and despite signs for weekly rates, the clientelle in and out doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.
