Terresens - Chalet Les Cascades

Thr best thing about this hotel is the location - literally opposite the main lifts.

Everything else is a little basic and uncared for. The staircase in our room felt like an under 12 carpentry project and the rooms are almost totally bare.

Breakfast is good and its clean.

Worst thing? Staff are clearly paid nothing and see guests as a nuisance. No welcome, no friendliness. On our last day breakfast was already cleared up 30 mins before the end because they thought we weren't coming and a cleaner woke us up for the same reason (despite not having checked out).

Also, on our fitst night a crowd of young 20-something south africans had a huge party until about 1am - not ideal...

Overall, good if you spend no time in the hotel.

Perfect location right opposite the main ski lift and next door to a ski hire shop. Breakfast is good and there is a generous sized guest lounge on the top floor and ski store in the basement. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We booked the last and cheapest room on the first floor , it was just above a bar which played music until 11.30 every night - fortunately we liked their playlist.

Room was comfortable and in a great location. Simple but nice breakfast.

Expensive for a 2* but to be expected in high season in courchevel. Simple and clean.

La moquette est vieille et sale, le chauffage est défectueux, le personnel est très sympathique mais en sous effectif ce qui donne des situations où le petit déjeuner se retrouve vide à 9 h.

Cuando hicimos la reserva eramos 2 personas. Despues trate de agregar un huesped mas y expedia me dijo que ellos habian hecho una peticion especial para que agregaran una cama extra en la habitación, pero que llamara directamente al hotel para confirmarlo, asi que trate de llamar al hotel, por lo menos 50 veces y nunca nadie contesto. Les mande varios correos y tampoco contestaron, asi que nuestro otro amigo no pudo venir. El hotel finalmente contestó casi cuando íbamos llegando, que no podian agregar una cama extra. Ya no la necesitábamos porque nuestro amigo ya no viajo con nosotros. Cuando llegamos a nuestra habitación, sorpresa !! Habia espacio de sobra para una cama extra, pero el hotel no quiso ponerla !! La habitacion, está bastante bien, lo unico malo es que parece un horno, no se puede ni dormir bien, del calor que hace dentro y la calefacción no se puede regular dentro de la habitación. Demadiado calor, el Internet, es inexistente. No funciona en lo absoluto. Únicamente funcionaba un poco mejor en el pasillo, pero fatal. El desayuno era súper basico, unicamente jamon, pan, queso y mantequilla y alguna que otra cosa. La ubicación es lo único bueno de este hotel. Cruzas la calle y esta e huevo para subir a esquiar y a la pista de trineos.
No se si volveria.

Great stay

A localização do hotel é excelente, contudo o quarto e o banheiro são extremamente pequenos. Além disso, podiam alterar as variedades do café da manhã, todos os dias são exatamente iguais.

Very good hotel, far beyond expectations. Right in the middle of Courchevel 1650 and next door to ski elevators. Very clean and well serviced. Highly recommend and will be back again. Thank you

The view is amazing, but the room was not in a best shape. There is not enough ventilation and there is a terrible smell from the bathroom, like dirty water, and it is very persistent. There is not thermostat in the room, and you will be at the mercy of the owner, who indeed want to save on electric bill, so be prepared to use all your ski clothing while sleeping.
Amenities are nice, there is a club room on the floor, where you can relax on the couch and watch tv.
The breakfast room is nice indeed.
Location is great, very close to the slopes, and that is very convenient. Overall if you are willing to overlook the issues mentioned above, it may be ok. However, I doubt I will return to this place.
