A comfortable, well-located hotel just steps from York’s historic attractions, perfect for exploring
Pros:

Perfect location for both being near the station and also the shops and attractions
Gym well equipped
As only stayed for two nights we declined housekeeping and in return received a voucher to get a drink from the bar The cocktail was very tasty!
Spacious room with everything you need for a short stay

Cons:

Did not experience anything that needed improvement

Well located and stylish hotel which is good value but be prepared for traffic noise due to its central location
Pros:

Modern and clean. Helpful staff

Cons:

Given the town centre location I expected traffic noise but there was also a lot of noise from the building site next door. This started before 9am and went on all day so if you are a light sleeper or like a lie in on your trip away then this might not be the place for you until the building work is finished!

Lovely comfortable hotel in a great location.
Pros:

The hotel room was lovely, we really liked the layout of the bathroom and the separation from the bedroom is a nice touch. Really comfortable bed and it was nice to have a little getting ready station in the bathroom area which was separate to the writing desk, you often find things quite cramped in some hotel rooms so it was a nice change. Reception area is lovely too. The hotel is in a brilliant location with everything you’d need in walking distance. Had no issues parking in the nearby NCP.

Cons:

The TV was in a bit of an awkward position in our room. Completely understand there wouldn’t be room to have it in front of the bed but it’s not in the most ideal place for comfort. We also found the heating & air con in our room took quite a long time to kick in. Nothing that would put us off of coming back again for a short break!

Frustrated
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

The hotel claims its pet friendly but you have to pay £20 per dog and we have two. Once at the hotel we were told that the dogs could not be taken to any of the facilities, bar and restaurant and couldn’t be left in the room. We had to eat in the corridor for breakfast and couldn’t realistically stay within the hotel at a nighttime.

I would suggest a deposit per dog would’ve been sensible and clear limitations stated when booking.

Not pet friendly but pet tolerant.

Great hotel
Cons:

Need a deal with local car parks as we tried two and then travelled miles to park and ride - again no overnight parking permitted.
