When travelling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for a maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance- unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs in our Sora Sky Bar.
Please note our Sora Sky Bar is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
There are limited onsite parking spaces available at the Hotel for £ 27.50 per night per car. Car parking must be booked in advance of your stay. Alternatively, there is an NCP car park on Tanner Row, just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel reception. Prices are approximately £40.00 for 24 hours.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our Seasonal A’ la Carte menu and a side dish. Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply to adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary/5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price/ 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu is also available.
Please note extra beds and cots must be confirmed with the hotel prior to arrival, customers will be required to settle children's extra bed charges (£30 per night) directly with the hotel.

Great location and a great room.
Couldn't find anything not to like

Everything was fine.
Completely cashless, we only found this out at Check in when it was too late to find anywhere else. Due to this I cancelled my upgrade and our breakfasts, and we won't be stopping at any Malmaisons again out of principal.
The welcome from reception was friendly but professional. Check in was easy. A voucher for 2 cocktails in the bar was a lovely touch for my husbands birthday. Housekeeping were thorough and chatty in the corridor asking us how our stay was and if we needed anything in our room. Breakfast was fabulous. Location is great. All round lovely experience which we enjoyed immensely.
Availability of car parking facilities.
The location was perfect for us, as it was only a short walking distance from the train station where we arrived and also from the city centre the visiting of which was our main reason for our trip to York. The room was very comfortable and well appointed, and the restaurant’s breakfast and dinner fare was excellent.
Only the shampoo dispenser in the shower was stuck, but otherwise no complaints at all!

Had a 2 day work conference at the hotel for c 20 people. Really well looked after and the food/lunches were exceptional. Abdalla looked after us really well. Thanks to the whole team

Rooms very dark and dingy, but that’s just personal preference. I like natural light.
The bed also had a dip in the middle so was a bit uncomfortable on your back.
