The room next to us was full of party-goers that were very loud and played music until the early morning. The front desk made them turn off the music, but the room we were given had a door to access the neighboring room so we could still hear them talking very loudly during the night & early the following morning. Overall, it did not make for an enjoyable stay.
I hate to post negative reviews but our experience doing business with this hotel was so poor I felt I have to warn other travelers. We booked a one night reservation for 10/24/25 and requested a second night, 10/25/25 but were told by the agent only one night is available. We kept the one night reservation but later our plans changed so we canceled it about a week ahead for a refund per hotel policy. When we got our card statement the following month we saw a charge for the second night, October 25th. Unbeknownst to us the hotel booked the second night two weeks later and charged our credit card for an unauthorized $370! Had we known we of course would have canceled the second night when we canceled the first. Hotel management is aware of these details but refuses to reverse the erroneous charges.
Beware of booking with this hotel - they are unethical business people.
We recently stayed at the Valley Hotel in Homewood for a week. We had a chance to meet and interact with most (if not all) of the front desk personnel. I cannot say enough about Sheena, Alyssa, April, James, Adriane and Kietra! By the time we checked out we felt like we were treated as a friend or a member of their family, rather than just a hotel guest. They were very accommodating in person and on the app with our repeated requests to extend our stay. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and have never had that kind of consistent genuine personal attention! Thank you all so much for making our week!!
Restaurant
Brielle was very nice and helpful with our luggage at the Valley Hotel in Homewood. We appreciated her help and gave great insight for the steak house restaurant on property.
Attendant was very polite and efficient. She offered to help me out with my bags. She was patient as I took time gathering my things after my drive.

Sorely disappointed in my stay here this time. When I arrived the shampoo bottle was disassembled and left in the shower and the toilet paper holder was also broken. Toilet paper low and no extra roll provided. The Kureig coffee maker was also broken. When I left to head to a meeting the next morning I spoke to the gentleman at the front desk and asked for new coffee maker and toilet paper. I arrived back around 4:30 and the room had been cleaned but left NO toilet paper so I was out. I called the front desk and requested toilet paper and coffee pods. Alesia assured me she would have it right up. Went to a 3 hour dinner and arrived back to room and still NO toilet paper ?!?!
Also the 3 times I have stayed here I am in the workout room and they are apparently renting the room out to a trainer who is training several people and very loud and hard to get to equipment. Bottom line this is a great location and could be an exceptional hotel, however there is a lack of excellence in the management and customer service.
Incredible experience, the valet guy. Jay was great. The check in people Keitra and Bruce were incredible. Just fantastic overall stay and I can’t just say enough good things about this hotel.
The Valley Hotel is hands down the best place to stay in Birmingham. From the moment you pull up, you can feel how well they take care of their guests. The rooms are spotless, the atmosphere is modern and comfortable, and the service is top-notch.
A special shoutout to Valet Jay — he’s easily the best valet man in town. Friendly, professional, and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. Every great stay starts with great service, and Jay sets the tone perfectly.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I travel every other week for work and my last trip to Birmingham, I stayed at a Hilton property that was so underwhelming. I actually called the corporate headquarters to complain only to receive no response or no concerned by that hotel
This experience was the exact opposite and I am so appreciative and grateful to have been pleasantly surprised.

Lolisa with housekeeping was also so pleasant, polite and concerned with my experience at the hotel, that I was extremely impressed.
This hotel will now be my “home” for my monthly visits to Birmingham.

The great things.
I was greeted by a valet who unloaded my baggage and took to my room. Parked my car. It was late and he suggested if I had not eaten that the restaurant was still open.
I ate at the hotel restaurant 4 times. It was delicious and convenient just stay in.
Even though I mentioned some negatives I still give the hotel 5 stars. I would come back.
BTW: I think my granddaughter and new husband are staying there on their wedding night right before flying out for their honeymoon. That happened because they visited me at the hotel while I was in for her Bridal Shower at the Country Club.
