A decent hotel however, pretty noisy
Pros:

A decent hotel to stay at, however, there are much nicer places to stay in Galena. Our room was pretty noisy lots of doors slamming late into the night. The room was clean and the Jacuzzi tub was a nice touch. We probably wouldn’t stay again as the lack of sleep was difficult to overcome.

I am thoroughly disappointed and quite frankly disgusted by this hotel.
Pros:

I am so disgusted with this hotel. From the minute you walk into the room you’re hit by a strong musty smell. I paid extra for the whirlpool room and regret it. I came here with my partner to celebrate our anniversary and left very disappointed. The whirlpool jets haven’t been properly cleaned in years it looked like because when you turned it on all this mold/mildew shot out. The green couch in the living room was like sitting on hard cardboard. I told the front desk about the mold coming out of the jets and he said that other people were complaining also and I left my phone number for the manager to call me and she never did. The man working at the front desk said “I don’t know what she can do for you”. I’m so upset about paying more than $160 for a disgusting experience. Please don’t make the same mistake I did…

Pros:

The shuttle was a definite plus parking is ridiculous downtown I'd stay just for that shuttle and guy was super nice the restaurant was great too

A very nice and comfortable stay, would absolutely recommend, especially with how close it was to main downtown Galena

We will definitely return.
Pros:

Very unique culturally(Irish) and historically. Music in the pub on Sat. and Fri. We stayed on Sunday and enjoyed an Irish Shanty singer with historical stories. Great free breakfast.

Cons:

Nothing. It is not right downtown but there is a free shuttle.

Loved being close to town and the shuttle. It was clean.

Cons:

Jacuzzi didn't keep water in the tub.the fireplace in the room was just lights, no heat. We went during winter so they weren't staffed well. Breakfast staff (there was only one server/bartender) was on their phone both mornings we went and was not helpful. We had to ask for everything, napkins, spoons, catsup, salt and pepper. We tried to call the restaurant for a take out order when our dinner reservations elsewhere canceled us and nobody answered the phone in the restaurant. They said the phone was too far away and hard to hear. There were maybe 8 people in the entire restaurant when I went down to place the order.

Excellent theming on Ireland. The lobby area was excellent but the rooms were underwhelming basic in decor considering the price. Food was great. We needed our rooms cleaned daily but you didn’t have maids. That definitely needed to show in your pricing. Overall good experience.
