Richard's Hotel has 35 units in a classic art deco building with 2 floors, a sparkling clear pool, barbecue, serene relaxation area and terrace, offering satellite TV with HBO and WiFi. Ideal for singles or couples staying a few days or weeks, and convenient for cruise passengers. Located one block from Richard's main motel, minutes from the beaches, Hollywood boardwalk, restaurants, the international airport and Fort Lauderdale seaports.

We are extremely disappointed with our stay at Richard's Hotel. What was advertised online had absolutely nothing to do with reality.

The room was filthy and completely unacceptable in terms of hygiene:

Stained bedding and dirty sheets

Hair and mold in the bathroom / dusty, uncleaned floors

Strong, unpleasant odor throughout the room

The online description is completely misleading. It was impossible to relax here. We felt so uncomfortable that we couldn't stay for more than one night and had no choice but to move to a different hotel.

This is by far the worst service and cleanest/dirtiest hotel we have ever experienced. I strongly advise against booking this place – stay somewhere else!

Poorly managed property with unhelpful management—I extended my stay, was still told to leave at 11 AM and check back in

I would strongly recommend reading reviews about this property before booking.

I extended my stay for an additional day, but I was then told that I had to leave by 11 AM and check back in later, which was very inconvenient. When I tried to get help from the manager, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously or handled professionally.

Overall, the business appears to be poorly managed, and the way the situation was handled was very disappointing. I hope future guests take the time to read the reviews carefully before making a reservation.
