Disappointing
Pros:

The location was nice, I was worried about being above a chip shop and although there were no smells observed, the staff sat outside on the steps once the shop was closed and were very loud as we had windows open during the bank holiday heatwave.

Cons:

Issue with the shower, a leaver came off, which was not ideal during a heatwave. Had to have a bath, but no soap mounted near the bath so had to buy toiletries.
No mirror in the main room to do hair.
No response from the owner, in fact the number was invalid and the email provided bounced back.

Pros:

The bed was comfortable, and the location was central.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing.

The shower had no running water, so we could only use the bathtub. The window frames were poorly sealed, allowing cold air to come into the room.

In addition, if more than one tap was used in the bathroom at the same time, the pipes and taps would vibrate and make a loud noise. We could also hear the same issue coming from neighboring rooms.

We ordered breakfast for 8:30 a.m., but it never arrived.

Overall, the facilities and service did not meet our expectations.

Overpriced and too busy
Pros:

The beds were super comfy. Provided tea, coffee, water, and milk. Spacious room. Breakfast was tasty.

Cons:

Location is difficult and parking is impossible. The town is extremely busy—hotel is located in the middle of it all which means it’s chaotic and noisy. There’s no staff except the person who delivers breakfast. There’s also no outdoor facilities like a garden or courtyard. Windows don’t open either. This place was definitely overpriced compared to all the places we stayed in the area.

Pros:

Comfy bed, pillows, great shower, all amenities needed was there and breakfast was perfect. Nice size room and very good location.

Cons:

Toilet didn't flush if already flushed once, and shower kept over flowing, not draining so some plumbing words needs doing.
Was very warm in the room and couldn't figure how to open a window however we did have a fan in the room

Great location, disappointed by the overall look and care for the property.
Pros:

The location is fabulous. The bathroom huge and well equipped - large bath and good shower.

Cons:

No where in the property description is that the apartments sit above a fish and chip restaurant. The entrance was a huge concern and we were anxious prior to reaching our rooms. Entrance not welcoming or well maintained. Beer barrels stored in the entrance. A particular smell on the first floor landing, which, thank heavens was not prevalent in the suites we booked. The first landing foyer carpet is badly stained. The fixtures in the suites need to reflect the same modernity/finish as the bathrooms. The pink chairs in the Sterling suite need re-padded. The property has huge potential but needs a little more care and attention. Sign on wall (outside) hanging out of its perspex frame…

Pros:

breakfast was great and the room was nice.

Cons:

the down stairs restaurant played super loud music until 10 pm or so which made it difficult to have a meeting or relax in the room. I also wasn't aware that I had signed up for a room with out a view when I booked through booking.com. that was a little disappointing.

The bed, the bathroom and the location. The room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast to the room was also yummy and fantastic.

Cons:

Very minor, but one of the windows wouldn’t stay open. Was a super hot weekend so need to use a prop to keep the window open.

Perfect location & breakfast. But no housekeeping for a 3 night stay

Amazing location. Lovely breakfast delivered to your room.

Cons:

I stayed for 3 nights & had no housekeeping, despite it saying I would get it daily. I messaged the property asking for it to be vacuumed and had no reply. The smell from the chip shop underneath was overwhelming in the hallway, but could not be smelt in the room. Also the duvet was extremely lumpy and hardly any filling.

The location and view from the riverfront windows was so lovely. Absolutely central location but still really quiet.

Cons:

I wish I’d known there wasn’t any parking before we booked. None of us could get reception in town so navigating to the car park directions was a challenge. Not to mention the checkin details. I’m glad I’d taken a screenshot, as there’s no reception it would have been really difficult.

Pros:

The room was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the location was very convenient. Breakfast is provided in the morning.

Cons:

Check-in is only available from 4 PM onwards, and early check-in is not permitted. Access is only via the stairs. I stayed in the Euro Suite, and the staff informed me that water from my bathroom was leaking into the bathroom of the suite downstairs.

A bit over priced… not at all bad but not luxury.
Pros:

The location with nice room over looking the Windrush. Easy self check in that was well organised.
Good breakfast (but not luxury) delivered to room on time.

Cons:

Stains on mattress protector visible through the clean freshly laundered sheets not a great first impression. TV did not work at all was plugged in but non responsive. Overall we had an okay stay but little things matter especially on a one night stay, you charge hotel prices but with no representative on site to deal with issues we were a bit disappointed.
