Stephen the IGNORANT MANAGER. Who couldn’t run a marathon. But should try and run to get rid of the BEEF
Pros:

Got to be the worst hotel I’ve even been to, the decoration is a lot to be desired, the food was basic, the toilet was dirty, smelly and dated. The manager ‘Stephen’ was rude, arrogant and very disrespectful. We will never be back. When we complained his attitude was the worse I’ve ever experienced. People stay well clear.

dreadful
Pros:

on arrival i was told that the hotel was no longer operational. there was an attempt to find me a room which took us going in and out of various rooms and was given one - unfortunately the blind did not close at all and the sheets had been slept in. the housekeepers had handed in their notice and they were letting people stay in rooms that others had slept in. because i had been in hospital all day with my dad and it was 9.30 pm i accepted this room. it was awful and the worst way to spend £110

Beyond terrible and had to bail after two days with no refund or apology.
Pros:

The TV didn't work, and didn't work for the two days we were there. We informed the manager (who was nothing short of rude), who did absolutely nothing. Oh and there were cockroaches. The blind didn't work and there was light streaming into the room. The shower didn't work properly. The radiators didn't work. The wallpaper was ripped. There were no plugs by the beds for mobile phones. I could go on. Just the worst experience ever. Oh and it was by a dual carriageway with a long walk across the motorway to get to the nearest public transport. Either by walking down the dual carriageway or walking across the bridge and through a housing estate. There weren't enough staff and the manager was never there and when he was there he lied to us about fire regulations. We had to leave after two days (we were booked for six) with no refund or apology. Oh, and did i mention the cockroaches!!!

Poor
Pros:

Property looks beautiful when you first walk in. But the rooms are totally different to what’s shown in the pictures online. There was no hot water or plug for the sink. When I asked about this I was told it’s an old system takes ages to get up to rooms and the reason there was no plug on the bathroom was due to people flooding the rooms.

Disappointing
Pros:

Clean bed, comfortable.

Cons:

Dirty cups and bad smell from bathroom (sitting smell of wet dog).
Probably lack of proper ventilation.
Only 1 (one) socket for the room nowadays is much below expectations.

Good for the 1 night we required after a long journey.
Pros:

The room was clean, though well used decor wise. Bed comfy , facilities adequate.
The staff extremely helpful and very pleasant.

Cons:

As the hotel was in the process of changing owners, the bar was short of choice. Kitchens were closed so food had to be ordered in, the staff were very accepting to that and we sat in restaurant to eat our takeaway.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Pros:

Nothing!!

Cons:

The Hotel Head Office cancelled our booking and only advised this on the morning of my booking. I called the Staff who were rude and very unhelpful. I am therefore asking for a refund and will never book this hotel again
