There was a smoke alarm activated and the entire building had to evacuate at 8am on Friday after being woken up. When we went and got breakfast after we were allowed back in from the parking lot in our PJs, there was plenty left. I only had coffee, but was glad it was available due to everyone getting breakfast at the same time. The check in staff was pleasant and I was glad that they could change our room after the first one was very smokey smelling like weed.
There was hair on the shower walls(not mine), the bathroom floors were dirty in both rooms we saw, the first room we had stunk of smoke so we asked to change rooms, but what was most disturbing is when the cleaning staff entered the room at 8:30/9am without knocking!!!!!! Scared me to death.
I enjoyed the breakfast options even though it was sausage every morning that I was there. Nice oatmeal bar and yummy scrambled eggs and cheese omelettes.
The pool closed at 8 which was fine. But….Juan the pool guy came in five min till 8 and told everyone to leave which was also fine but then he opened the outside door right next to the pool chairs we were using and started using his squeegee to push out the water again that was fine IF I DIDNT HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN WET BATHING SUITS STANDING NEXT TO THE OUTSIDE DOOR. So I was rushing to get them dried and dressed because he was letting all the cold air from outside in. Mind you it was like 30 degrees outside. Because I was rushing to get my kids dressed I was under stress and wasn’t able to comfortably get the kids organized and dressed I turned around and my daughter who had been taken out of her life vest lost her balance and fell in the deepest end of the pool without thinking I had to jump in after her with my coat on, my phone, and key fob got soaked luckily nothin was ruined but I was very upset. If he wasn’t trying to freeze us out I would have been able to take my time to coordinate my children and get them dried and dressed.

It was very clean
The breakfast good could have been better organized and better
Facilities are great, seems like recently renovated so everything feels new. Bed was comfortable and room very spacious with a big bathroom and a very handy space for working remotely.
Service was very good by most of the personnel.
The 163 bus passes right in front of the hotel and it brings you to port authority bus station, so if you are planning on visiting NYC that is very handy, also 10min drive from Secaucus train station.
List of what I didn't like:
- There is no restaurant! this was a pain during my stay - stayed for three weeks- way too long to be eating take away food.
- There is nothing walkable distance around the hotel.
- Breakfast was very basic and not good quality. No waffle maker.
- There's no water bottles in the room and no water fountains in the hotel. I asked at reception and they said water bottles are only for platinum members, never heard this before in any other hotel and I travel a good bit.
- Room cleaning wasn't great, I shed a lot of hair so It was very noticeable whenever they didn't clean. Bed wasn't properly done, sometimes it looked like they just threw the blankets on the bed without tucking them in. Seemed like they weren't cleaning the shower.
Very clean, nicely sized and styled rooms, had a bar!, and breakfast was great.
We visited over New Years Eve so I'm not sure if they were short-staffed /whether its related, but they didn't provide daily cleaning of the rooms!
