SlowTime Hotel Kyoto

Nothing much to complain about as it is a budget hotel and the location is decent with convenient stores and other facilities like laundry and restaurants nearby. Just that the bed was a bit soft and old but it is bearable with this rate and size at Kyoto.

The beds are not comfortable and there is no wardrobe

En revanche, plusieurs aspects m’ont vraiment déçu : une forte odeur d’égout remontait des canalisations, le lit à ressorts était très inconfortable et la chambre extrêmement petite. L’insonorisation est quasi inexistante : on entend tout, aussi bien les voisins que les femmes de ménage le matin, qui sont particulièrement bruyantes. De plus, les draps sales sont laissés dans les couloirs, juste devant les chambres, avec tout le matériel de nettoyage éparpillé au sol pendant l’entretien. L’ensemble donne une impression de désordre permanent.
Enfin, l’hôtel est situé à environ 15 minutes à pied des stations de métro, ce qui n’est pas très pratique.
En résumé, malgré la propreté correcte de la chambre, je ne recommande pas cet établissement.

Das Hotel ist recht altbacken und bietet nur den allernötigsten Service. Es ist recht anbgelegen in einem Wohngebiet. Die Betten sind durchgelegen und unbequem.

En general estuvo bien

We booked this room last minute because we realised we mistakenly missed one night for our booking at a previous hotel so obviously paid a lot more since it was like 4 days before our stay at SlowTime. It was the worst hotel I have ever been to especially for the price. I am not supposed to expect too much given that it was a last minute booking so I know I will be paying more than the usual rate. However, it was really the false advertising that turned me off. The hotel is actually not in a convenient location. The vibe of the place just felt heavy, lacklustre and overall off. We got up to the second floor where our room was and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Our room smelled dirty and felt stuffy or mouldy, the room was small and felt like I was in a hospital. The sound of the fridge was too loud overnight. The room was not soundproof and you can hear people talking and walking upstairs. You would doze off and be awaken by the sound of either footsteps or loud voices. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing ever and you could almost feel the springs on your back. I do not know what chemical they used to clean the sheets but they just smelled like they were heavily processed and my skin was itchy the whole night. I did not have a good sleep and I woke up feeling so drained. I am sorry but I could not recommend this place.

The location is so far away from the city centre and the room is not available for more than 2 persons.
