Location was great! Laundry facility was good
The smell at the entrance and cleanliness was awful, like broken pipes with fungus . Luckily in the room the smell was pleasant . I choose this hotel since in other location near space center the facility was pleasant, but on this location at Kissimmee wasn’t good at all .

Unsafe and Unsanitary Stay at Extended Stay America Kissimmee

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our stay at Extended Stay America in Kissimmee/Orlando from May 14–19, 2026, I feel other travelers deserve to know what we experienced.
This was honestly one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had.
The property was filthy and smelled terrible throughout. There were strong cigarette odors and unpleasant smells everywhere, including the hallways, elevators, and both rooms we were assigned. Outside, garbage bags were piled around overflowing trash cans, with trash scattered across the sidewalks.
Our first room, Room 412, smelled heavily of smoke, had stained sheets with what appeared to be blood spots, and most alarming of all, the smoke detector had literally been covered with a plastic bag and taped over. We were later told someone had recently been removed from the room for smoking, yet the room was still rented out without being properly inspected or cleaned.
That alone was extremely concerning. A smoke detector covered with plastic and tape is a serious fire safety hazard and should never be overlooked by hotel staff or management.
There was also no hot water in the room, forcing me to take a cold shower.
We requested another room, Room 414, but unfortunately it was not much better. It also smelled bad, the sheets were stained, and the bathtub was missing the safety handrail.
The most unsettling experience happened around 6 AM on our second night when someone repeatedly banged on our door several times without identifying themselves. We repeatedly asked who was there and received no answer. This happened approximately four different times and made us feel extremely unsafe.
Overall, the property appeared severely neglected and lacked proper cleanliness, maintenance, and security oversight. Between the taped-over smoke detector, missing safety features, filthy conditions, and the frightening early morning disturbance, this hotel simply did not feel safe.
Even as a budget-friendly option, staying here was absolutely not worth it. I left feeling extremely disappointed and honestly sick after the experience.
I also contacted corporate management directly regarding these issues and requested a response, but unfortunately I have received no reply or acknowledgment. That lack of concern after such serious safety and cleanliness issues was extremely disappointing.
I strongly feel this property needs major improvements in cleanliness, safety, and management before guests should consider staying here.
