The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was so kind. Check-in time was 3PM, but I had brunch reservations at "The Complicated Pilgrim" at 1 PM. After enjoying a great brunch/lunch, I asked if there was any way I could possibly check in early since I didn't really have anything else I needed to do before 3PM. The front desk staff were so kind and quick to let me know that was no problem at all. We were checked in within 10 minutes of finishing brunch (AMAZING FOOD), and sprawled out on the bed trying to recover!!! However, that is my one complaint... that bed was HARD! I didn't sleep so well, but I had a lot of anxiety for board exams the next morning, so... lets blame it on anxiety. The Memphian is a great choice in an awesome location with plenty to do nearby, and offers a very nice, upscale, experience. The Memphian is worth the couple extra dollars if you are looking for something away from downtown, but with the downtown hospitality feel of the bigger hotel chains. Again... great food at "The Complicated Pilgrim". We did not go the bar that is on the 7th floor (it has its's own elevator!!), because from what we read they encouraged a collared shirt and/or blazers for men, so since I had just packed hoodies and blue jeans (so I could be comfortable when testing), but I will go back in the future with the appropriate attire to give the Tiger and Peacock a try!! All in all it was a lovely stay, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay on a little vacation from the house that isn't too far away!!
The bed was a bit hard and I wasn't able to sleep well. That being said, I had boards the next morning, as well as 2 ruptured disc in my back, so... was it the bed itself, or my multitude extenuating circumstances? We will see next time... I passed the boards and had surgery to fix the back 10 days later! Next time it's going to be on the mattress if it is a fail!! Everything else was great.
Very well-planned hotel room, easy and secure parking (less expensive than most hotels), spotlessly clean room, a wonderful scent throughout the property, pleasant staff.

Great location
Clean
Newer hotel with excellent service and available parking. Rooms large and clean. Not noisy. Many dining options nearby that are walkable from the hotel. Would highly suggest as a better option than hotels near downtown.
My mother had a great experience at The Memphian hotel. Thanks to JAC!!!! he was respectful, had great customer service and more. He went above and beyond to make sure my family was taken care of. His patience, consistency and excellent customer service truly stood out. I would definitely recommend 10/10 to stay here. Clean and great customer service. Thanks JAC for all your help.
We came back to the hotel to find NO parking in their save protective lot. Another stay our reserved room was taken. On another
stay we were double charged.
We’ll be finding other places to stay.
This Hotel was beautifully and thoroughly designed. The restaurant Pilgrims was good also I had breakfast and brunch . I enjoyed bother dining experience
The Manager wasn’t available to solve my issue.
It was wonderful
I reserved and paid extra for a king room but was instead placed in a cramped double queen room. Very disappointing, and not what I expected for the price. That alone should have been handled better, and it’s the main reason this review is 4 stars instead of 5.
The initial interaction at the front desk was poor and unhelpful, and I’m still disappointed that the manager never reached out as promised. We also found the beds to be hard and not particularly comfortable, which made resting less than ideal.
That said, Billy completely turned things around. He went out of his way to apologize for the earlier issues and personally made sure that the other problems I encountered were taken care of quickly. His attitude, professionalism, and genuine effort to improve my stay made a huge difference.
The location of the hotel, the cute décor, the rooftop bar, and Billy’s excellent service are the reasons this review is 4 stars instead of 3 or lower! While I remain unhappy about not getting the room I reserved and paid extra for, those positives did make my stay more enjoyable
gorgeous ambiance; courteous staff form front desk to restaurant/bar/rooftop club to housekeeping
A great experience in a beautiful place
oVERALL, A GREAT EXPERIENCE. dECOR/ DESIGN IS SO COOL.COMFORTABLE AND RELAXED-CHIC.STAFF WAS GREAT, WITH SPECIAL RECOGNITION TO JAC DEANE AT FRONT DESK, WHO IMMEDIATELY HELPED WHEN I HAD TO DROP OFF BAGS TO GET TO A Family DINNER. HE CAME UP LATER TO HELP WITH SOME MISSING AMENITIES.H E WAS ALWAYS PLEASANT, RESPECTFUL, helpful AND FRIENDLY. GROOM HIM FOR MANAGEMENT! HE Is A KEEPER! hE'SGOT IT. BILLY WAS ALSO VERY GOOD! FOOD WAS GREAT AT RESTAURANT AND SHOUT OUTS TO ALEXIS FOR HER KINDNESS AND EXCELLENCE IN REMEBERING OUR PREFERENCES. ALSO SHOUT OUT TO FERN AND MADELLINE(sp) for their warm and friendly service FOR OUR MORNING COFFEE AND MY REQUESTS FOR WATER DURING THE DAY.BUT YOU SHOULD TELL PEOPLE WHEN THEY CHECK IN THAT THEY MUST ASK FOR DAILY HOUSEKEEPING FOR LINENS. THIS DISTURBED ME, AS I HAVE TRAVELLED THE WORLD AND A COOL AND CLASSY PLACE SUCH AS THIS SHOULD PROVIDE DAILY LINEN CHANGES. Had i known, i would have requested. iT was by chance that I read your flyer the morning I was to check out. I GREW UP IN MEMPHIS AND THIS IS A GREAT ADDITION. GOOD LOCATION. A GROUP OF FRIENDS STAYED AT HOTEL.
