We will absolutely be coming back.
Pros:

The staff were unbelievable. Kind and inviting. Really made you feel like they wanted you there. Since the hotel did not have many guests that evening, they upgraded us and said we could stay in any room that was available for no extra charge. Who does that anymore? Callicoon does! What a breath of fresh air.

A great concept let down by poor execution.
Pros:

Comfortable beds, quality Malin + Goetz amenities and a family-friendly concept. The property has a great vision and plenty of potential. Great location. And the complimentary smores

Cons:

There was a disappointing gap between expectation and reality. The property looks far better online than it feels in person. For the price, the rooms were underwhelming, maintenance was lacking, the pool wasn’t clean or well maintained, and dinner service was chaotic and poorly organised. It was the accumulation of these small details that made the stay feel overpriced and not reflective of the boutique experience being marketed.

Nice in concept, poor execution.
Pros:

Lovely location.

Cons:

Staff was not hospitable. Walls and ceiling are thin. You can hear everything including when every toilet is flushed or shower is on. Nothing was open on a Sunday. No bar, no food. No fridge in the room so you couldn’t even buy anything and keep it in the room. Breakfast didn’t open the next morning until 8am. 8am?!

Fantastic! Staff are incredible!
Pros:

Has everything for a fun easy vacation

Cons:

We booked through Booking.com a rate that included breakfast but there is no included breakfast. The property remedied this, however, without issue.

What I expected based on the reviews. The Pool House is an updated midcentury roadside motel.
Pros:

Convenient parking. Scandinavian meets Catskills decor. Nice option compared to other lodging in the area.

Cons:

Electricity did not work in the bathroom outlets, even when we switched rooms. All outlets stopped working in our first room when I used my hair dryer. Limited breakfast options mid-week. Tight quarters.

Great restaurant, disappointing facilities, but stunning location!
Pros:

The property is beautiful, however the room was incredibly small for $579.00 a night with no extras like breakfast or a welcome drink ?!

Cons:

The gym was also tiny and the pool had plastic lounge chairs . Both facilities were not elevated as you would expect for the price of the room!

Pros:

A very attractive facility and grounds. The hallway my room was on was noisy in the morning.

Morning noise in hallway.

Bookings.com is a terrible company and they need to hire better more sympathetic customer service!!!!
Pros:

ARE UOU KIDDING!!!
Booking booked us for Dec 26th, confirmed 3 times and when we go there property was CLOSED FOR THE SEASON!!!!

Cons:

CLOSED FOR SEASON!!! And yet bookings.com booked us, took our money and when I spoke to them they didn’t care that we were stranded w no place to stay in a SNOWSTORM!!! And to date, have not given us a refund!!!!

TOP! Gern wieder!! :)
Pros:

Pros:

I only stayed the one night and absolutely loved it. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

HOWEVER... if you are considering one of the A-Frames know that they may not be the most mobility friendly. Some did look like they sat down lower but for the one i was in it was a big step up to get in. It is also up a short but steep hill hike in the woods. If you can mange that i think it is well worth it to stay in one but its not going to be for everyone.
