Surf City Hotel

My most favorite place. We’ve stayed at the apartment now many times. I’m back home for 1 day and want to go back.

Everything was amazing. Easy parking, cleanliness of the rooms, accessibility to the beach. Easy to walk to restaurants, coffee etc.
Attentiveness to our toilet bowl having a very minor flushing issue.
Happy hour was great and we loved having drinks before we turned in each night at the bar. Great vibe and bands. Definitely would stay again.

Convenient location and two bedroom was so much bigger than the photos could show. Very comfortable for our family of four.

Loved the location! Close to the beach and a few cafes and shops.

Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly. Love the restaurants and entertainment they have. Love the convenience of having the beach right there. My stay has always been a pleasant one.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Surf City Inn. The room was very comfortable and the staff very welcoming. We will stay again!

Appreciated that so much is onsite & nearby, w/a 10%coupon to enjoy their bistro & liquor store. Short walk to beach, thoughtfully appointed room, friendly & efficient front desk staff. See you on LBI again soon!

I wanted to love this quaint beachy “hotel” but it truly felt short for a couples weekend.

The room was TINY - we had booked the only available room months ago but did not expect such a small room and uncomfortable bed. The bedding is in desperate need of updating, right down to the ugly, dated brown fleece blanket.

There is zero water pressure in the shower and it was almost impossible to rinse my hair. The bathroom is bare bones - flimsy towels and the cheapest toilet tissue I’ve ever seen. It wasn’t very clean either. There is no vanity space at all.

The A/C is a wall unit which wasn’t a problem but the housekeeping staff turned it off while making up the room so when we returned from the beach, the room was HOT.

We tried to get some information from the front desk staff who proved to be CLUELESS about the motel or room rates for future dates. It was literally like talking to a wall.

We did enjoy the outdoor bar and the bartenders were great! Food inside though is mediocre and the “sushi” could be from a grocery store at best.

I understand this isn’t a luxury hotel but the great location allows the owners to literally skimp on anything that would make the motel feel even close to a vacation.

The maintenance staff should be told not to use the leaf blower while guests are less than 5 feet away. We literally said something to the person and he waved to us.

As far as housekeeping, our used bath towels were left on the floor and the hand towels and wash cloths weren’t replaced.

We will be going back to Hotel LBI next time. Although it’s a drive to the beach, it’s worth it.

We had a very nice stay over a long weekend. The 2 bedroom work out perfectly. Loved the 3 bar/restaurants! The live band on Saturday was great. Definitely stay here again!

We stayed in a 2 Queen Inn room . There were 4 adults . It was very tight . The room is good enough for sleeping but if it happens to rain there is no where to lounge around outside of your very small room unless you go to the bistro connected to the hotel .
The room was clean , cool, and very practical . I would suggest it needs a little updating by replacing the carpet floors with either hard wood or linoleum so that it can be wiped clean . I tend to wear flip flops in a place with carpet.

Great location, steps from the beach. Clean rooms and super friendly staff.
