Neat contactless Room in cute Sokcho
Pros:

Positive:
- It is quite near to the beach area.
- There are a plenty of cafes and restaurants in walking distance.
- You can walk from the express bus station to it.
- The room was clean, neat and had everything you need.

Cons:

Negative:
- Well, it is NOT on the beach. There is a road in front of it, then a forest and then comes the beach.
- There is no reception, but 2 buildings A and B. It is not a problem (I had worldwide experience with contactless hotels without any difficulties), but as Korea has astonishingly not everywhere free wifi (Seoul was much worth in my experience as the provinces) and they send you the doorcode appr. 15:00 o'clock at your arrival date... well I had some difficulties... They ask for Kakaotalk or email, then they send you a check-in email, then you get your codes, which you need to type on the door within 10 Minutes (first the door wasn't even reactive..). If you have failed, then you can request an other mail with the codes - that will be active for 1 h. I don't know what happens, if you can't manage that one too...
- There are a couple of other hotels/ motels in the same building. They have automated check-in shelters and some even in person receptions. Well, most probably every information is all around written - just in Korean. When the online google translator doesn't work... good luck finding out where to go...
- If you where dreaming about swimming in the beautiful sea... Well, the weather was trash and (again everything just in Korean..) the beach seemed to be closed. Later on I saw a beautiful photo f a great white shark posted, so I assume, that was 1 reason.

Pros:

Очень хорошая локация. Набережная, 1 линия. Пляж 100 метров. Все новое и чистое

Cons:

Было недопонимание после бронирования - говорили что нет номеров но потом все нашлось. В целом рекомендую

Pros:

Good location, very clean.

Cons:

No utensils, not even a mug or cutlery. Note check in isn't until 4pm with no possibility of early check in. Self check in process not straight forward for foreigners.

Be prepared for a struggle to check in to this substandard hotel
Pros:

Location was useful.

Cons:

Robot check-in in Korean was frustrating. Email that supplied key code was blocked by a pop-up in Korean that couldn’t be removed. Fortunately a Korean Samaritan stepped in to help, and even he was confused because the room number started with A, but our room was not be found in building A, but in building B. Room itself was not designed as a hotel room, making it difficult to access luggage or hang clothes.

Close proximity to everything in Sokcho.

Cons:

Self check in that didn’t really work!
Absolutely nothing in the room. Yes, a kitchen but no cups, plates, cutlery, cooking utensils. In fact, there was a sign saying, do not cook!! Very weird!

On the beach and clean
Pros:

Sokcho is a great location and this hotel is right on the beach. The beds were comfy. The TVs worked. The bathroom fixtures were nice. We requested rooms next to each other and they put someone right between us. Not sure why, the hotel was pretty empty. But they were close to each other so I appreciate that.

Cons:

There is nobody at the property to talk to if you’re having a problem. You will have to communicate via your phone/internet. Which became tricky for us at times because we only had one phone with internet capabilities. Getting into our rooms was harder than it needed to be because of this complication. Also our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke but it wasn’t like we could complain to the front desk so we just opened the doors. Also it had those bathrooms where the walls are glass and you can see people inside (but there was privacy blur). I just hate those bathroom walls and thought I should warn others. lol.

Pros:

Schöne Lage ein paar Schritte vom Strand und 3 Minuten vom Riesenrad. Obwohl die Rezeption "online" ist, wurde mir schnell geholfen und der Check in war unkompliziert.

Cons:

Es ist kein Geschirr sowie Spühl- und Waschmittel vorhanden.

Pros:

Nice location asn the rooms are very big and comfortable.

Cons:

There is no one at reception.
There is a small kitchen and a washing machine - which is nice, but there are no pots and skillets or anything for the washing machine.
