Cosy, well supplied accommodation
Pros:

Fantastic cosy place which is perfect for short stays. Rooms have everything you need. Providing breakfast items, cereals and a variety of cooking ingredients in the kitchen area is really handy whilst having all main appliances to cook. Communication ahead of my stay was very efficient, clear and welcoming. Even the noticeboard in the downstairs hallway offered a personal touch to help with your stay. The Bondgate Hotel has everything you could need.

Cons:

The car park is too small and tricky to navigate if you're nor a confident driver or can't reverse into the entrance. However there is on street parking and the owners provide good information.

Great stay for the start of our holiday and near the airpirt

Disappointing and stressful, with unresolved issues and a withdrawn refund promise.

The hotel is in a convenient location.

Cons:

On arrival there was a very strong, unpleasant odour throughout the building. We reported this and were offered another room, but moving rooms within the property would not have resolved the issue because the smell affected the whole building. The owner later acknowledged there was a smell coming from a drain in the kitchen.

We were then offered a studio apartment in a separate building. However, when we entered, we found the door unlocked and the bedding appeared to have already been used. The door also did not lock properly, so we did not feel the accommodation was secure or suitable for sleeping.

We were told a full refund would be issued; however, this was later withdrawn. The situation and the way it was handled caused a great deal of stress and disappointment, and the responses we received to our complaint were rude and sarcastic.
