Excellent location, awesome value, really enjoyed it.
Pros:

The hotel is located very close to Kyoto train station, walking distance. Easy to travel to other destinations even walking to and from the station with your heavy luggage. We have arrived from Tokyo and stayed in Kyoto for 3 nights. We also took a day trip to Osaka. Perfect location really. The room was spacious.

Cons:

There are not enough laundry machines, hehe.

Pros:

Fantastic location. Helpful staff who were happy to speak to me in Japanese AND English. Room was much bigger than expected. Couldn't ask for a better base to explore Kyoto from and I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!

Cons:

It's a little difficult to tell if they're open or not! But this is really nitpicking!

Pros:

It is clean and there is a smoking room inside the hotel, the onsen is stylish, also women get their own magnetic card to enter the onsen - thank you for such a detail! The location is comfortable- there are nice restaurants and a conbini next to the hotel.The staff was helpfu but somewhat tired, I worry about them.

Cons:

The elevator is impossible - too many people vs one elevator. The smoking room doesn’t have a proper ventilation. The rooms are tiny - ok for two people, but there were three of us. Too expensive for the value we got. The tap water smells fishy. Also the room doesn’t have a good ventilation even with the windows open.

Cooles Hotel mit Onsen in geschickter Lage
Pros:

Das Zimmer war etwas eng aber gut ausgestattet. Generell wirkt das Hotel stand heute sehr neu und designig, wirklich angenehm. Der Onsen ist ebenfalls ansprechend und ein nettes Abschlussritual nach einem Tag in der Stadt. Allerdings sollten sich einige Gäste mit dem Waschritual vertraut machen. Hier geht es nicht nur um Hygiene sondern auch um Anerkennung der japanischen Badetradition.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war an sich lecker, allerdings gibt es lediglich 2 Standardoptionen (pochiertes Ei auf Bacon-Käsebrot oder auf Kartoffelpüree und Lachs). Dazu jeweils ein kleiner Salat, Joghurt und Tofu mit Nüssen. Das schmeckt zweifelsohne aber wenn man 5, 6 Tage da bleibt und bspw keinen Fisch möchte, isst man eben jeden Tag dasselbe. Zwar war das Personal bemüht bspw den Kindern noch etwas Marmelade zu reichen aber ich verstehe das Grundprinzip hinter diesem Konzept einfach nicht. Es wäre ein leichtes hier etwas mehr Wahlmöglichkeiten zu bieten, um etwas Variation in das Menü zu bringen.
