Great alternative for big families, the breakfast was awesome.

It was an ok location.

Cons:

chose this hotel specifically because it advertised a free airport shuttle on Booking.com. Upon arrival, I was told the shuttle was not available and was pointed to a sign at the hotel stating that the shuttle is “not always available.” This disclaimer was not disclosed at the time of booking, and I could not have known this until after arriving. Had this been clearly communicated upfront, I would have selected a different hotel.

Additionally, the breakfast service raised serious concerns. Hot food items were placed on a regular, non-heated shelf, causing the food to cool down quickly. This is not food-safe practice and was disappointing to see at a Hilton-branded property. The breakfast area also appeared unclean, with visible food stains on the curtains, which further added to concerns about cleanliness and overall standards.

Great TPA Hilton property for 2 days
Pros:

I've been a loyal Marriott traveler for Many years because Hilton charged too much in the past to use rewards. The Marriott reviews around TPA airport were not good, but but the Hiltons were spot on. From the moment I walked in the door I was warmly greeted by genuinely kind staff. I arrived 2am after delayed flights, but the person at the desk was still quite friendly. I got to my clean and modern looking room and was able to put my suitecase up on a sturdy counter and pass out cold on the bed. The next morning the breakfast was good. (Not sure why they don't crack the hard boiled eggs), coffee was better in the room than the lobby. The Fitness room had 2 spin bikes, which I never see and made me so happy to use after my 10am meeting. The water filter filler worked great and the water tasted great, no aftertaste.
I used the hotel van to drive me to Seasons 52 for a tasty dinner night 2. The elevators are certainly slow, but the stairs are great for healthy walking.
The shower was clean, the shampoo was filled, towels were not as absorbent but they were likely very new. I wished there were better foam pillows. All in all, great stay, priced well, and I would return.
