The check-in guy and the manager were both friendly
We had to share a room with people that were apparently homeless
Gentleman that was running that night was very rude. Me and my guest was outside, smoking a cigarette, and he came up, honest like we were criminals and asked if we were staying there and not to be soliciting on the property even though I was a paying customer and never got my room refunded.
There’s nothing good about this hotel. I would never stay there again and I think to either The Owner I think his money said he was or the person running in security.
Great coffee and was available all day. Great and educational tour of the building. This place is wonderful and felt like being at a friends place. Comfortable, felt safe, everyone very kind, polite, appropriately humorous (which is always my kind of thing). I will stay here again when visiting the area.

Open play and down in the gym gave my granddaughter a great wat to get energy out.
My room didn’t have any windows. And you could hear the people above us walking around.
No elevators. And no continental breakfast.
Had a great experience staying here. The rooms are large, clean and well-furnished. The staff was very helpful and courteous. They graciously accommodated us when we had a change of plans.
Very spacious room. We were very excited about staying in a converted high school.
1. The room had no towels, hand soap or extra toilet paper. We had to ask the front desk for everything.
2. Our mini fridge was leaking water all over the floor. When we told the front desk we were asked if you needed more towels to clean up the water, nothing else and no one came to look at it.
3. The worst part was terrible sound proofing and our loud neighbors. We could hear every noise they made and they were extremely loud. The bathroom doors in the rooms are sliding doors but only stop once they slam into the wall. So anytime they would slam their bathroom door it was our joining wall it would hit. It was very loud and would shake our wall all night long.
4. If you have mobility issues there are no elevators and the stairs are small and somewhat steep.

The room and facility were very nice for the price. The staff made sure I had everything I needed. I was stating for over two weeks and the staff was friendly the entire time. The gym was handy even though it was not real big but it definitely did what I needed. I would recommend this place!
The gym was rather small but I used it almost every day and there were not a lot of people in it. Other than that I don't have any complaints about the Local Hotel. It was a homestyle Hotel and it wasn't an overcrowded skyscraper like a lot of them!
I liked that it was an old high school and then it had amenities that suited our children
The power went out the last few hours of our stay

My key didn't work. Had to call after hours security to get in my room. Could use a deep cleaning
