Fantastic city location and amazing infinity pool with city views. Nice spacious rooms and big variety of food from room service.
Highly recommend. Very happy 4 day stay for the Grand Prix weekend. Loved it.
the venue is excellent only down fall is the car park
car park
Great city staycation stay. The rooftop pool is a massive novelty!
Docklands is always a bit out of the way but tram access is super easy to make this a non-issue!
The pool area was great, pool was the perfect temperature and we spent hours here.
Car park across the road is good value as is the hotel.
I found the bed really uncomfortable and the pillows were super flat. Also the pool food and drink service menu needs some good mocktail options - heaps of cocktails and wines and beers but I couldn’t see one mocktail option for those not drinking unless you wanted soft drink
Travelling as a couple with our 12yr old grandson, this was one of the few places we could get 2x double beds in the one room (lots of others only offered a temporary pull out type bed). Great sized bathroom with loads of bench top space. Roof top pool and spa was great at the end of a long day!
- 1.5 hours earlier check-in.
- Received a complimentary cake at 5 pm for our marriage anniversary.
- Pool and hot spa.
I have traveled to almost 20 countries around the world and stayed in almost 17 luxury 5-star hotels. The worst experience and the rudest staff on planet earth were in here.
From the front desk to the staff in the kitchen at the breakfast buffet.
-In every branded hotel I was in, it was always customer and guest rights, definitely, there is a lack of proper management and training in this hotel.
-Usually, branded hotels like Anantara, Sofitel, W, or Hilton, the staff welcome you with a nice greeting and some ice-breaking conversation, a possible drink on your arrival or a good morning phrase. DO NOT EXPECT these simple things in this hotel.
-The Napalian woman, "Ms. Barsha," at breakfast seriously argued with me when I ordered a cup of coffee and talked with a very, very aggressive tone, which shocked my wife and me both. Due to this unpleasant conversation, we had a bad day after that, as we were still in shock.
Please TEACH YOUR STAFF that it is ALWAYS the customer's right, and they can NEVER EVER talk to a guest in this way.
-There was not even a doorman for this 5-star #marriot and we had to carry our bags to the front desk by ourselves, despite the fact that staff were watching we are doing this, so they could offer to help.
-Breakfast was very limited, and the design and atmosphere were horrible, like we were eating breakfast in the basement of a prison. The staff at breakfast once again was the rudest on planet earth.
Unfortunately, never EVER come back here, and will not recommend this hotel to others.
Not recommend.
The Melbourne Marriot was my choice to attend the Ed Sheran performance at Marvel Stadium, from a location aspect it was perfect, close to the public tram way and an easy walk back from the venue. The offer of car parking worked in well with our travel plans however the parking in a public shopping centre car park a block away was not what I had expected. The front desk staff were very good, as was the concierge and helped greatly with advice and assistance. The included full buffet breakfast had a good range of all the usual; it was good but not really outstanding.
The car parking in a public shopping centre car park a block away was not what I had expected when I booked parking. The building, lifts and restaurant we pretty much to capacity with house cleaning carts in the hallways. It is starting to look a bit tired, even the light switches were worn and difficult to operate, but on the positive there were USB A charging outlets at the desk and beside the bed. In the checkout process unfortunately, my wife left her Diabetes monitor in the bedside draw and on follow up it had disappeared.
Great location at Docklands, staff were helpful. Breakfast was good.
Had to locate waitstaff at breakfast to order eggs or coffee.
The location
The rooms don’t have air conditioning
Was close to marvel so worked well with decent view
Was pricey for size of room
Location was spot on and the rooms are nice and comfy plus top service staff members
Can't say much anything negative
The pool was amazing
The kids loved the pool, and location
The shower grout could do with a good scrub and clean
