Stayed in room 426. The room was clean and bed was comfortable.
The TV does not have a TV guide and sometimes it would lose signal. Reception told me that it was the same in all rooms.
The bathroom had a glass, swing door, which doesn't shut fully, but even if it did, there are gaps all around the door so there is no sound privacy. If someone walks around the bed, they would also see you on the toilet. If sharing, it might be worth drapping a towel over the door for privacy.
Spa was lovely and all facilities worked. Would have preferred the steam room to be hotter as it doesn't steam up the whole room.
Location was good, as there is a 24 hour Asda next to it. 20 minute drive to Southampton.
the hotel was well located and has great facilities (pool/gym) The bar area was great in the evening as it had large screens showing the sports and it was very busy, but the staff still gave a great service
Breakfast was excellent and location was great.
Didn’t like the glass door dividing the room to the bathroom you could see straight through especially if someone was sitting on the toilet no privacy at all.
Nothing
Everything
Where do I begin… this place is the absolute definition of style over substance.
We booked in expecting a comfortable stay with a bit of atmosphere—especially with Thursday night advertised as Premier League Darts Night. That lasted all of five minutes before it was switched over to football halfway through. If you’re going to advertise something, at least commit to it.
The bar and seating area are in a pretty sorry state—stained upholstery, ripped seats, and generally looking like it’s seen better decades, not just days.
Only one lift was working during the stay, which meant long waits unless you fancied hiking up the stairs. Not ideal when you’re carrying bags.
Our room was directly above the gym, which appears to operate 24/7. The relaxing soundtrack included loud music, fitness classes, and the constant dropping of weights. Not exactly the peaceful night away we’d hoped for.
The room itself didn’t improve matters—an air conditioning unit that made strange noises even when switched off, and a king-size bed fitted with what can only be described as a double-size topper, leaving it awkward and uncomfortable.
There’s also no proper reception and no phone in the room, so if you need assistance or want to raise an issue, you’re essentially left to figure it out yourself.
And just to round things off nicely, guests are charged £5 for parking.
All in all, it feels like a place trying very hard to look the part but completely missing the basics.
As my grandma used to say: fur coat and no knickers.
Good modern Hotel with great facilities.
Two flights of WET stairs from the changing rooms to the Pool. Very slippery and I slipped down them causing bruising and having to take time off work. Reported this to three members of staff with just a verbal apology none offered to write anything down or go investigate. These in my opinion are very dangerous and had it been an elderly person the outcome could have been very different. A member in the Pool area said that this happens all of the time. Staff disagreed with this but then if theyre not writing accidents down they can deny everything.
We hosted a large Support Services away day at this venue and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The venue itself was excellent – well laid out, comfortable, and ideal for a full day event.
The food was great and catered perfectly for our group, with 50 people fed in the pub and grill without any issues. Refreshments were replenished frequently throughout the day, which was really appreciated and helped keep everything running smoothly.
The team were welcoming, organised, and attentive, making it a very easy and enjoyable event to host. We received lots of positive feedback from attendees and would happily recommend this venue for large group events or corporate away days.
Bed was very comfortable.
The shower in the room would have been better if it had a much bigger screen as water goes directly onto the floor when showering.
Staff really friendly
The TV in the room this time wasn’t working properly. It was cutting in and out on all channels so couldn’t use it at all
Convenience
Nothing
We were so disappointed with our stay here. First of all the bedroom had no window so it felt very claustrophobic and dark. Secondly the shower had not been cleaned properly and there was alot of bits in the shower tray. We were extremely upset on sunday to be woken up very early in the morning to music booming from a fitness class going on just outside. The base was so loud, it felt like we were staying in a nightclub. It lasted for hours and we could not sleep or relax. We came for a relaxing break but left feeling very unsatisfied.
All was excellent particularly the staff
Nothing all was great
Beds were comfortable.
Glass door on bathroom - not even frosted glass.
I booked the hotel because it states there are EV charging points. I had 5% left in my battery and didn't manage to get a space until after breakfast. This was because local people are using them overnight (we saw someone cycle to his car and put the bike in his boot and drive away. His car had been there all night). The staff were unhelpful when we asked if we could leave the car there for the week while we were on holiday as we couldn't get it charged.
Location was easy to find and all the staff were very helpful
Car park was large but very busy so difficult to find a space
The facilities sports bar, spa, swimming poo, gyml etc was on point
